Root [Boost Mobile] help

really need some help guys i fashed shins rom and all worked well but then phone cut off and when i went to turn back on it stays on green android and and does not boot and want go into cwm so the question that i have, is my phone bricked also shins rom without overclock kernel
 
Take us step by step as to how you installed his ROM and what base are you running on? B08 or B08C? Did you get the update?
 
it was B08C and i installed step by step how it is in the post factory reset follwed by all caches to shins 1.5b then cleared caches for 1.5c and so on to the most recent, every thing worked fine but i was browsing the web and the phone cut off and now it does nothing lol just green android oo and led stays red if that matters,and this all happened before the update started
 
yes i have tried that and i have tried abd but the phone will not reg on pc becuase it want boot up and i do not know y it want let me in cwm it just goees to green android and thats it no matter what i push i have tried removing batt for over 5 mins no luck , tried power cycle button on back with no luck i really dont know what to do know lol should i take it to repair shop i just bought phone about a mnth ago and really like it
 
I hate to say it, but from what you are telling me you have bricked your phone some how. Unless we can come up with another way to access it, I don't see any other way to fix it other than sending it in to ZTE.

Have you tried to contact Shinru?

Sounds like a hard brick cant boot into cwm comp doesnt recognize sorry to say man but your phone is a paper weight i suggest contacting shinru seeing if he can help but as far as i know hard bricks are irreversible :( sorry man
 
well thanks for all the input and no havent contacted shin was hoping i wouldnt have to i contacted boost and tey are sending me a complementary phone which i have no idea what it is going to be prob a really cheap one. if i was to send it to zte could they fix it i know u said it couldnt be fixed just wondering if u meant by zte or by me
 
I've never been able to access adb before reaching the boot animation... I guess I'm just one bad flash away from being screwed

It sucks and it nice that boost is doing that as for zte repairing its very unlikely because you voided your warranty by rooting as soon as they find out about that its game over :(
 
I do believe there is a trick around that warranty thing. If you tell them you installed the new update and now it wont work.. Then they have no reason to question that. Besides.. They can't load the phone anyway to check anything. Since it wont go past the little green android. So it's worth a shot. Either way, you are out of the phone one way or another.

After I rooted my moms prevail last year an ota update came and it hard bricked the phone because of root... we just made it seem like it was the updates fault and Samsung replaced it... however it was Samsung... the number one phone manufacturer in the world atm... and not zte... so it may or may not work

That's very true, but I have heard that they will send replacement phones out, so it is worth a shot. With all their system updates flying around they are bound to screw phones up. I have received 2 updates since I bought this phone 4-5 months ago. That's insane.
