Root [Boost Mobile] How to truly unbrick your SGS3 - Boost SGS3

Thanks for getting back to me, as much as I was reading I didn't even see that this forum was for Boost. I have not been able to find the Sprint SGS3 image for 4.3, finally started posting in hopes that there might be one out there. Figures I would post it in the wrong place. Sorry!

Ouch isn't even the right word, keep on the lookout for a news headline reading "Woman commits suicide via bricked cellular device..." lol

mint@mint ~ $

so the next step would be....
sudo dd if=/<path_to_debrick.img> of=/dev/sdX

sudo dd if=/home/mint/Desktop of=/dev/sdb
right?? I have mine on my desktop...that is where the zip is located

PLEASE.........this is driving me absolutely bonkers and I have been at it for 2 hrs

image is on the sd card......battery and sd card are inserted. Nothing happens......I am assuming the battery is dead? It was at like 40-50% lastnight when this all happen. Does the battery have to be fully charged in order for this to work?

which image did you write to the sdcard? did you end uyp going the windows route? did it write it correctly? any errors? did you use linux? did you just copy and paste teh image onto the sdcard? were you on 4.3 or 4.4?

need a bit more info.

i used the windows method.....i was on 4.3. I did not have any errors. I checked the SD card and there is an image on the SD card

used the win32 method.

1. downloaded win32imagewriter
2. installed the image by selecting the image and then the SD card
3. placed image on SD card (said successful)
4. removed SD from reader and placed into phone
5. placed battery in and attempted recovery mode.

The image I used was the one from post 1 for those who had 4.3 or higher

PNY 16G class 10

should i try the other image instead of the one I already tried??

im still completely dead........nothing is happening. Do I need a different SD card? Do I need to do anything to the SD card at all OR can I just take it from the package and it is good to go?

EDIT- just went out and got a new SD card......got a sandisk and same issue....nothing happens at all

EDIT 2- just junked the phone since I couldn't fix it

I've gone and done it. Flashed a Rom for the note, and the thing is DOA. Windows got installed the Qualcom device driver once, but it disconnected and The writing program won't even allow me to select and device. The phone won't power on at all. Im guessing sd reader, or buy a replacment. I have the SPH-710t. Thanks.

Still haven't got my SPH-L710t up and running after installing the Conquest Singularity Rom with Philz touch. I've tried the SDCard image method in Linux and with Win32imgloader in windows. I've brought a Jib now that isn't doing a thing to the brick that was made four days out of the box. The computer dose still see the phone as Qualcom both in Linux and in windows, but Odin and One Touch Unbrick won't recognize it. Can Android SDK tools and debugging that why help? Will it even be recognized? Thanks For all your help. Enjoy the weekend.
