BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE, make a backup in your new recovery before proceeding! That way if something goes wrong you don't have to go through the whole process
Dozed off... I actually got somewhere???
I'm doing backup using the backup/restore selection on reboot recovery mode screen. Is it a nandroid thingy?
I'm embarrassed to say I don't know what my drawer is...
Don't see anything called superuser (except in my dreams)
Moving on to Halobean 8 link :d
Yes, what you're doing right now is a nandroid backup; an exact copy of your entire system as it is. And your app drawer, where you click on your homescreen to get to all your apps
I just read on the Public Mobile root method... root comes after flashing custom rom. The recovery doesn't come with root to allow you to make a complete nandroid backup beforehand so you can go back in case something goes wrong so that means so far so good aimzzz
I flashed this and successfully got CyanogenMod10 on my Warp however the wifi isn't working I've rebooted it like 10 times and even added a static IP to it and it won't connect. I have a Meraki AP
