Better yet, what are you using for a ram-disk? Or are you flashing the zimage? I've been working on the 3.0 source that zte released for a couple of days now, and its in need of repair, so I'm just wondering what your sources are?
Edit:
I guess what do you mean when you say you edited in the warps specifics?
Cross sources haven't worked for me ,

I have packed your zImage with several different "working" ramdisks, and the phone does not boot with any of them

I do not see how you can flash just a zImage without a ramdisk in fastboot

Lol I just noticed you post after mine hroark. I'm having the exact same results

I installed my CAF rom to test your kernel, and packed your kernel with the same ramdisk I was using on CAF

the phone does not boot, but I can get to an adb shell

root@android:/ # cat /proc/version
cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.6.35.7-perf+ (tanbaihua@zhangchun-desktop) (gcc version 4.4.3 (G
CC) ) #2 PREEMPT Mon Sep 26 20:15:14 CST 2011
root@android:/ #

I dont know, I am a bit confused here

Lol, is that a stock kernel? Sure looks like it

Hroark, I'm still playing with the 3.0 source. Anyway you could pm me a caf build to see if it boots? Or can I test with a build of cm9?

I wrote this long post last night in this thread, about how Androidjerr's is zImage the same exact size of the B08 zImage, and how impossible that should be.

I also said that I think Androidjerr is really thomasmbl

and then a MOD deleted my post, and Jetx's post

I asked the MOD for help to determine if Androidjerr is thomasmbl, by IP address, and then he goes and deletes my post

He probably deleted it because I inserted a pic on excrement in the post

Lol, wish I would have seen it

Ive been following this thread and some things are definetly fishy. Zero specifics on how this kernel was developed and now Hroark (one of the most respected members on here btw) saying the size is the same as b08 (even i know that cant be right and im not a dev!) A certain someone has been pimping themself all over the warp forum and needs to be brought down. Its doing nothing but hindering the development of our device.

MODS; do something about this.

So he's just wasting your guys time?

Well I haven't see any forward movement out of any of his three topics. There is alot of talk, but not any proof of this. I'm not bashing, I just , at this point have little faith that anything he said is true

Mods never discuss work in progress, hope you understand.

Yes, posts were deleted for sailing a little too close to the wind.

If there are issues here, it's all going away, and if not, it will clear up quickly, so either way, me tossing a post or two isn't big in the grand scheme of things.

Appreciate everyone's patience, cheers, thanks. :)

well you do have a point. I have asked for the source, and I never got a real response. the only response I got was "not on my laptop". Apparently this is going nowhere, but on the plus side, downthemachine hopefully your work on the kernel will be more fruitful, altho knowing zte, it's probably bashed to hell, and would probably be easier porting caf source. I almost got a build from caf source, but a few errors stopped it. missing define errors, using the .config from hroark's cm9 kernel. maybe if I can get the right defines in, I can get a working build, but I doubt it's going to be that easy.

Ya, I have multiple errors, what's weird is in init.c with tool chain 4.6 I get an long int error. But with 4.4.3 I get way past that and get defined errors, I can't remember right now what file it was pointing to, but I couldn't find any spot where the undefined calls where listed. Sorry I'm a little tired. I'll post the errors tomorrow, along with my findings on specific files

I do not mind that the post was deleted, I can understand why it was

I just want to make sure everyone is not getting there hopes up on this guy

I was just under the impression that the situation was resolved from your point of view, I did not know your were still looking into it

thanks for the help

There might be a good chance the Kyocera Hydro's source code will be very close to what we need for Cm9/ICS check the specs. :-)
