CM7 boots and stuff, but a lot of the hardware does not work yet, so it is pretty unusable at the time

zte just finaly told me they cant relese the kernel source to an end user becaus its confidentel which is a lie inless they intentionally released a broken one

Well, my Direct Message turned up from ZTE..

Sebastian, thanks for reaching out. We wanted to let you know that ZTE can't provide access to our source code on any device.
Direct message sent by ZTE USA (@ZTE_USA) to you (@Sebastian404) on Apr 19, 1:47 PM.

I have responded pointing out its a legal requirement they release the kernel source, and in fact already have, but that my problem is the source is incorrect...

lets see what they have to say

Sounds about right, ZTE USA probably has no idea what is going on with the chinese branch. Or what has or hasnt been released

inless the warp kenrnal source isent realy for the warp i accidently sent them the wrong link

i linked them to a different phone the guy said this isent the n860 we cant and havent released the source kernal for the n860 maybe boost has something to do with this

isn't that against GPL license? Don't they by law have to release the source?

They are not required to release anything, but by releasing the source they are required by the terms in the GPL for that source to work and be fully functioning.

Yeah I guess your right. I won't pull that one off on them until I know they are intentionally holding it back. First lets see if sebastion can work things out.

hey fellas i have no idea what yall are talkin about mostly but i was havin wifi probs and i was lookin around and came acroos this convo and then it hit me that it was the kernal so i changed it and it fixed my wifi error so you never know when or how thing you say are gonna effect folks so i just wanna say thank yee!
