Root [Boost Mobile] Let's Start A Team ROM!?

Ok. I'm going to strip b10g Jim is doing b07 and merc can strip b08.

They all need to be stripped of EVERYTHING except what they need to run bare bones for testing. So busy box in x bin symlinked and and nothing but minimal system apps That do not update. Just antutu and quadrant bench.

Mine well be up by morning (2 am). I'll post a link by then and we'll have our testers bench it all day tomorrow.

Does that work for everybody?

Works for me!!:D

I'll be on theming and aesthetics, obviously :p
I need helpers though, I can't do it alone... God it'd be great if i2f were still here huh? :)

Yeah well get devs dotted out as soon as we have a base Rom.

My guess is it will be me merc Smith and smart man van deving. You and hopefully somebody else theming.

I want to have benches be public but even numbered for each Rom or have benches test all three and post screens tomorrow with a deadline of midnight tomorrow night.

From there we will build a beta testing team when we get beta or rc.

It will be much easier to dish out the dev work between us once we know what we are working with and in what order each piece needs to be done in, or if particular pieces can be done independently.

I can do that.:)

Maybe the work can be split up more evenly by having teams or groups, like dev team, testing team, aesthetics and theming team...?
Just to keep things organized.

It's already done.

We have four devs who said Aye. You are theming and hopefully a partner. We have about four willing beta testers so far. Benches will be public.

Devs will sort out who is doing what among themselves once we have benched the most stable rom as a base in terms of what order what needs to be done or if parts can be done independently without waiting on others

We have two dealines- one for the stripped bases by morning if not sooner, and the other for tomorrow night midnight for bench testers results.

My strategy is to have an RC at the latest within a month, hopefully sooner.

Short range, start the actual modding and deving by tuesday :)

Sounds good, soon as I get home I'm on it.

Can we get an official list of all the apps we're leaving in? That way we can be sure all the benchmarkers are on the same page, and we won't have to concern ourselves with the possibility of inaccurate results due to someone leaving in an app which we shouldn't've.

Everything that Updates goes. I'm going to reference everything else to strip from the list on your rum page. Does that work?

I haven't made any modification other than what is necessary to make phone, sms, and mms working. All of the PMI bloat is still in place with the stock kernel. No init.d no nothing. Here is a glance for the curious, and a zip for the bold lol. It should be noted that the flashlight app works with no mods also

If you flash this and brick your phone I am not responsible. See the DroidSmith thread for a more in depth info on this disclaimer. If you don't know what bricking a phone is, this zip isn't for you. If your not another dev or Lilbit, this rom probably is not for you. lol

PMIB07_Boost - Removed

Well none of these other ones get any better benches until rooted and given su, then clocked with a proper kernel.

So to be clear:

We need to remove all bloat and apps that we would normally replace (and then not replace them). I am referencing woem list of removed apps, and I'll add to our list.

Give me about an hour or so to strip and I'll upload the rom and make a list of what needs to go, and what needs to be added.

It's going to need SU and voltage control (off the top of my head simply for the sake of getting it done). I'll be back in a lilbit with something more clear.

PS I am using the alien kernel updated for b10, and everything in it including all files for init d and all scripts- make sure yours match.

Can we add antutu legally, so we don't have to go and download it, this is just for testing anyway.:)
