Root [Boost Mobile] [MOD] CTMod ROM n00b'ed (RC2 1/4/13)

Um what exactly is that lol

DPI (or dots per inch) is a way of expressing how densely packed the pixels are on the screen. If you go to the /system/build.prop file, you'll see a line something like ro.sf.lcd_density=240. The "240" there is default for the Warp. If this is changed to another value, it can cause issues with apps falsely being marked incompatible.

Yes I just checked and it's at its default but it may be the kernel I flashed the glitch non of kernel and I was able to install it but I want to find a way to be able to install it with the oc kernel lol

That's the one I'm currently using but ima try again right now :3

Ok, Here's some more info on this particular Rom.

It's very finikey when it comes to installing apps, The rom really works best when apps are just installed from the play store directly. ;)

Re-Installing apps with Titanium or whatever makes this rom act funny. :)

Don't know why, but it just does, very powerfull rom though, I liked it a lot.:D

So has ##3238# been fixed or no?

nope, it was removed in CT Mod ROM... I am not sure what all is involved in putting it back and since I no longer have the phone I don't plan on adding it to this MOD... however, if someone wants to tackle this issue and add it, I am happy to update this MOD with that change once it's tested and note that person in the OP.

Have a look at this post from the other, CTMod thread, I dunno if it will work or not, but here's the info.

You need to change the dialer and put another instance of hidden menus apk (grab one from another rom and resign it) I think in order to access the ##data# codes. That's what I did and it worked out fine for me. Well I was able to access it from custom shortcuts using another launcher (adw) in order to keep the dialer, and then switch back.

Just out of curiosity BLVCKHVLO when are you going to release your build....

Well I have it pretty much done, but then I decided to go with the B10g update, so I had to start over, but it's almost there. I am having a couple of issues with boot.img and am using another image as a place holder and using universal init.d support. I don't know what exactly the implications of using a boot image from another rom that came out before B10g update is. I just know I have init.d support but my scripts won't run unless I circumvent it with the above mentioned method.

Also I have borrowed some code from bloodawn (mostly smali) in order to achieve transparency. He does not take PMs. So hopefully when realeased he'll be ok with just taking some credit.

Aside from that, I plan on releasing it soon here.

Basically what happened was him (bloodawn) and dizzle seemed to have abandon their roms. So I made a hybrid that was super awesome. I was going to release, but then Bloodawn came out with his update a day before I finished mine. My release fixed a bunch of issues I was having with his rom (lack of hidden menu support being one of them- also my method bypasses the need for MSL- I plan on putting this into the settings menu somehow so as to avoid having all sorts of weird shortcuts lol). Also I could never obtain full root using CTmod as is- I constantly recieved errors concerning needing to update binaries and busy box even though they were fine- I fixed all of that. So basically now if I release it would just look like I was biting him. So I have decided to keep all my mods (a few surprises) and some of his code concerning a small amount of theming and get rid of the main features that were his and add my own and rename it.

Doing this plus taking care of two newborn girls with no mom around has proven pretty hectic. Some people do stuff like knit while babies sleep. I play with roms lol.

Well kudos dude, glad its coming along, cant wait to try it out when you release it and nothing wrong with taking care of your family, been there done that(5 kids lol), hadn't heard much from you lately and was just wondering, I knew you had been working on it, cant wait to see it.....;)

Has anyone tried flashing the noob mod onto 3.80?
Figured it wouldn't help much when flashed even though I haven't tried it yet. It'd flash a different version of alien kernel wouldn't it? Or is the one in the mod alien kernel 3.0?
