Notice anything DIfferent ??

i cannot take all the credit for this, it was hroarks fix that did it, but it also bricked his warp, i fixed the brick and some other memory related areas
 
IDK if this would help, I recently bought the Warp4g so if you guys need any files or anything from that phone, I can probably get it to you. I have no idea of the software or hardware similarities/dissimilarities btw.

probably not lol, well, we have had a 3x kernel booting for a year, but, just like the other kernel with jellybean, it couldnt see all the memory. the fix was different this time around. but now it sees all

it probably wouldnt help too much, warp is msm7x30 8x55 cpu 512mb ram. warp4g is msm8960 cpu 1gb ram. the platforms themselves are a bit similar, but also different
 
I would love to flash this when it's ready, will everything work as far as you know? and will the "bricking issue" be fixed? You Guy's are so awesome! I can't wait!!!! :) Now , I might just keep my ole girl! :):)

brick is long since fixed, hroark and i built from different sources. mine has alot more memory fixes, suchs as mach.memory.h, mach-msm/memory.c, memory-topology.c, msm_memtypes.h all reworked and patched from the blade 3 kernel. hroark's just patched the board file. his bricked, mine didint,,, but it makes no sense as to why it ever bricked in the first place. we are trying to unbrick it, but we may need to get that man a new warp lol

my phone turns on, flashed the green Android guy and then goes to black screen, and has a red light

no recovery, no ftm mode

my windows computer does see a diagnostics interface in my device manager


at the time it bricked, i was on the new kernel i made from the 308 kernel source, not DM's but the one I had, I was checking battery level, phone was plugged into USB, I unplugged USB so that I can read battery level, and then the phone froze.

I pulled battery, and phone would not come back on

DM thinks it was something in the kernel related to USB FTM mode, and he had already removed that from his source.

I guess I should have used his source for testing.


His source, came from my source, but he had also done a lot of work on it, I was the person who first got it booting, but there was a problem where it was not seeing all the memory

I came up with a fix for the memory, and then it bricked, so I can not work on it anymore

DM has been running the 308 kernel from his source for a few days now, and has not had a problem, he still needs to fix things, like getting wifi and BT working and stuff, wich I could help him, but with out actually having a phone and being able to test, I am not that good at figuring things out.
 
if anyone has a Warp with a cracked screen, that that still turns on, but they are not using

I can take my warp and the cracked screen warp and make a good one to dev with

I have a Warp that I want to donate, was going to Skinny but he said to give it to you. It won`t be for a week or so if you can wait that long your more than welcome to it. I replaced the glass and the vibrator board, thanks to smartman, so its good, everything works.

i ordered one on ebay with a broke screen for 20 bucks, so I do not need it, but thank you very much for the offer

I Can always use annother backup warp...

Better yet, PhenomIIX4 wants to help with warp development, he is in my team. but he needs a warp.. lets send it to him

Is this the same Blade kernel jimsmith80 was working on back in the summer?? I remember him saying he was using Hroak's modified kernel source.
If so, it was certainly smoother. I don't think he ever got the flashlight fix or bluetooth working.

I've had a lot of stuff happen since my last posts. Some good some bad. The good is I'm going to be a daddy. the bad is my laptop took a crap and Im just getting over a serious case of the flu. I recently got a new computer, and am slowly but surely getting everything back together to start developing again. Primarily for the ZTE force, but I do want to finish my work with the warp kernel as well.



Aside from that awesome work DM glad to see you were able to bring the 3.0.8 kernel to the warp

no, There is a 2.6.35.14 hroark did from the N850

I am not trying to brag or anything, all working kernel sources for the Warp came from me, ZTE did release kernel sources for the phone but they never worked, and I had to fix them

Once I gt them booting, people like DM took them a tweaked them and such.
