Root [Boost Mobile] OC kernel/WP7 ROM wifi error

I flashed Shin's .7 OC kernel zip in the WP7 ROM OP.
But every time I do it I get a wifi error.
I had to advance restore the boot image to get it back.
I did notice that the stock kernel is "perf+" and Shin's is "perf"...does that make a difference in the wifi working?

I can post a link later to an update package that includes the wifi modules so wireless will work again
