No problems with battery at all. (almost 3 days, 10% left)
No problem with speaker or earphones either.

First of all thanks shinru for coming up with this kernel. The only issue I have is that nfc is knocked out as well as audio on the fm radio. Otherwise battery and root is fine

Might be a module issue. I will make a zip with modules for the next release.

Checked logcat, looks like it was a module issue, i am compiling a new kernel with the driver built in.

The boot image works great. I'm just glad to be able to remove the bloatware and replace apps I hate like Internet and Calculator (font overflows the buttons) with the stock Browser and Calculator from a CM9 ROM. Sweet!

nope, just unlock the phone at the htcdev site, then flash it with adb

Guys...chill about getting a JB ROM as of right now and appreciate the hard work shinru2004 has done on the kernel. ROMs will come later...just be patient.

BTW, I hated the HTC keyboard so after the kernel update (yay) I installed the stock ICS keyboard from a CM9 ROM and uninstalled the HTC. If anyone is interested PM me and I can help.

ETA: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DELETE THE HTC KEYBOARD IN ORDER TO USE THE STOCK ICS KEYBOARD.

yes it already has the capability i have it set to an overclock of 1.5 ghz versus the stock 1.188

Nice I think it can be over lockable up to 1.6 ghz I'm not sure though cuz on the LG marquee, its 1.0 ghz but they were able to over clock it to 1.4 ghz, which is not bad maybe a lil bit more work and you can get it done
