Root [Boost Mobile] Overclocking. The unanswerable question?

Why is it that my Warp (BO8C) will simply not run using an overclocking kernel?

I am in the same camp Krowbarr, When and if The guys figure it out maybe we can have the OC like them, boy do I want it more than ever now, after having it for a few minutes.

there were several "batches" of our phone, I have had the warp since the day it came out and have tried every ROM and mod you can imagine.

An overclock kernel first came out by shin but it had some issues from the beginning on some phones (mine included) there were a couple versions of that kernel that each seemed to have similar issues.

In my case, if I overclockeeven a tiny bit over 1ghz my phone would get hot, laggy and then eventually reboot/freeze. I think quality control wise the zte warp just is hit and miss. We couldn't find any obvious difference in the phones, same model numbers etc, but some really act differently than others with overclock. For me it was a no go, others seem to be able to run it long term, but we still don't have a version of the kernel where overclock doesn't effect wifi/bluetooth (if the phone sleeps while on wifi, you loose signal until you toggle airplane or reboot) (not sure about the bluetooth issue).

That's the story and I am sticking to it, I think our phones might be capable of bluetooth someday, but as of now we don't have an oc kernel that works for every warp.

You don't really need an overclock, mine runs fine as is. It does lag sometimes, but I rather have functionality and not reboot/loss of features.

Thank you MrBobo you're always very informative. I guess we do the best we can with what we've been given when it comes to the Warp.
