Ive been messing around with the stock rom, adding some nice tweaks init.d and build props, added extended power menu changing default wallpaper but cant for the life of me figure out how to make the cwm backup into a flashable zip. Any help would be usefull (Im a real fast learner)

You can't just turn a cwm b/u into a flashable zip...

Best/easiest way to make a flashable zip is to use dsxida's android kitchen.

You can make a flashable zip of your framework res and systemui with app2zip easily. The power menu and default wallpaper are located within your framework-res.apk.(if your migrating across frameworks i would backup the xml;wallpaper png and integrate the power menu xml and the default wallpaper png from res/drawable hdmi into the new framework.you can resign it with zipsigner if needed. The build.prop -i would just copy to sd then replace in /system with a root file explorer..

But making a flashable of a rom is a whole lot different then making a flashable of a few files. You have to mount your partitions, extract, set permissions and such and that's just inside the updater-script. That's after you get all your files in order. Like drew said, it's much easier to use the android kitchen. Once you do it I think you'll understand why. Without the kitchen it could take hours. With the kitchen...minutes

Not to mention CWM/TWRP also backs up any personal info like contacts, etc. Also a backup usually consists of 3-4 separate archives each with their own md5sum...

Actually... it only takes a few minutes to create a flashable without the kitchen... the kitchen just complicates things if you know what you are doing... especially if you use hroarks pre made cwm templates.... easiest route to take is to and make a cwm/twrp backup and extract the system files and zip it up with the cwm templates and then BAM!!! You have yourself a flashable
