I have everything installed but confused with getting kitchen in home file of cygwin.

Heres a youtube video i used when setting it up. you wont have a problem after this. Goes kinda slow though

I am doing something wrong. No home file in cygwin to add kitchen. Have no idea.

You have to run cygwin once for it to set up. then it should be in the directory you installed to something like c/cygwin/home/yourname/
that's where you want to add kitchen

i open up cygwin type run,error pops up ;could not start cygwin/home/my name .i watched the video ,iam using winrar to open kitchen ,to place in home file but its not just like this video,? ? i have everything installed maybe i should uninstall everything and start over,maybe my best shot.

you don't need to type run. After installing just run cygwin and it will set up. then go to c://... and put the kitchen folder into place. Try uninstalling and then installing following the video. Also, if you don't have itunes i recommend downloading bonjour from apple. That is needed during the instillation of cygwin apparently.

Ok cygwin is installed but when I extract kitchen to put files in, not all there like the video,but I am getting closer, thanks for all your help.

In the video he had his set up for his rom. I gave you the kitchen before it's set up just put the stock zip into the place rom here folder run cygwin and select set up kitchen something like that, it will set up kitchen for your rom

0k first i wanna say thank you for all your patience and help,i finally got it,lol i made my first kernal but,,but says error 7 when i try to flash,any idea what that is?.i tell you what , posting this was awsome for you to do,and again thank you.

I had this problem too, when making a zip make sure you use the meta inf file from the cwm templates. And don't thank me too much I found a few problems I put java 7 instead of java 6 in haha my bad.

Lol well I don't know the difference between 7 and 6.

Lol well it took me 4 day's just to get cygwin to work, lol, writen android apps is little out of my league. Lol.

There's no options to check or uncheck in recovery. Do you have another error message?

Hmm I don't have that on my cwm

If your flashing just the kernel the go to the kernel one if your doing a system folder with the rom use the stock rom installer one

If you dont replace meta inf file, you get status 7 error which is updater script doesn't recognize phone, couldn't you just try to fix this. I am not sure how, lol.
