I do not recommend using alternate kernels with DroidSmith. That said, yes you will receive an update notice using Alien Kernel. This is due to the ramdisk including information from B08C. I have noticed that Alien Kernel is very popular, so this weekend I will modify its ramdisk to be compatible with DroidSmith and possibly other B10 builds. I will post itin the extras section (post #2) once it is done. All you will need to do is download it and then flash it on top of DroidSmith
 
Thank you for your input sir as a matter of fact the rom is very fast and stable just the way you created it and i appreciate all the hard work behind it again sir thank you very much for your help.

I need to correct my self. There is no.issue with the ramdisk for Alien Kernel for most roms. The issue is with the build.prop included in the zip. The ramdisk will requier edits for DroidSmith. I will mod two versions of Dm's work and will post this weekend
 
Did the first test run of alien kernel for DroidSmith. Pulled a 6094. That was set at 1.8 performance sio. Set at the defualt 1.4 it still pulled a solid 5500.
 
Very stable, 100% error free.
I flashed it, then restored all my apps with Titanium Backup. Using Lightning Launcher and SetCPU, very fast rom.

I noticed that too. I think its an issue with boat browser not playing nicely with my theme work. All notifications other than thise related to boat browser should show up in green
 
It does it when google is downloading and with weather bug

If I open Boat Browser then pull notificatios the letters are in green like should be, but I downloaded today an Boat Browser update.
I did not find anything wrong with notifications.
 
Ok guys the new update should be posted this weekend. All of the notification issues are addresed. I'm working on a few things with this rom, and I think this version will work well for most people.
