BIG BIG THANKS to everyone on here for getting this phone rooted so we can have some fun with it. So far I like it much better the the prevail and look forward to installing a custom rom and doing some theme work on it.

I used the one click root to root mine and watched the video on youtube and followed right along with no problems.

Thats not a bad idea this phone is getting better.3 ROMs out right now hopefully we will be seeing cm7 soon and.eventually cm9 as for the ROMs shinjitsu i say is the best then wp7 then mine (rapture) im still working on my ROM so be expecting updates in the future and as.for the one.click its very very very useful :) thank you snake for your work
 
dang hroark I don't know how u did it but u managed to create one tough to sign update package when u made that thing lol.. nothing I seem to do can pass verification signature in cwm. Is anyone able to sign hroark's stock b08c rom? I would gladly appreciate it

glad you were able to figure it out, I never sign my zip files

those RTS zip files were made in Linux just using the Standard archive manager
 
ok i have a? im still a noob to all the kernal and build prop stuff (FYI). wat exactly is this ultimate warp thing?

This has nothing to with kernel and build.prop so that part is fine.

not looking for help to root it. just want to let you know what I'm getting


Update: Did a battery pull, restarted to check if the the sdcard would mount=ok
ran it again and this time superuser did install
patch pushed ok.
installed TB and had root :)

guess I have a cheap sd card :(

If this is for shin's rom 1.5b, and it's a nandroid version, in my own opinion, I don't think it's necessary. Even if you have b08c, you are writing over the boot.img and system directory with his rom. Like I said, no need to downgrade.
 
Ok im already rooted with cwm ( with the issues) that i did 9 days ago when i got the phone ( btw. Snake woodstock everyone else also knoxvilles video thanks great work) is do k install 2 then 3 then 4 or is it one of the option i did. 2 but 3 gets hiung trying to reboot in recovery
 
I am so lost, please inbox me someone. I tried both 32 and 64 bit and when i open the adb prgram it does not see my phone. i rooted my Mytouch4g with no problem. Ive been trying this for 4 days nows and im getting ticked off. It does not go into a fastboot or anything. what am i not doing? Please inbox me so we can do a phone call or video call. My patience have gone now lol.

Trying to take my warp back to stock using this I think I followed all the instructions correctly but when it reboots into CWM to do the install it says signature verification failed.

Any ideas??
 
Did you extract the rom by any chance? Try to redownload the rom and place it in the folder where the run me script is.
 
So i gave this a shot , figured why not right? It gets to where its gonna patch cwm, but it can't mount my sd card it says...any idea why?
 
I have read this thread, watched the youtube vid from knoxvill, but still cant get it. I keep getting waiting on device. Debuging wont pop up even though ive selected it in the setting. Realy dont understand how to install the NEW drivers. Ive rooted phones in the past but this is silly. Im sure Ill catch some smart ass comments from the brain people on here. But dang man this shouldnt be that hard.
 
When you plug in the usb via windows, you should get prompt for an autorun.exe. install zte drivers and it should work fine.
