Root [Boost Mobile] Speed up 3g one thread all methods

I got it going, but somewhere along the line, now my phone just willl not make calls whatsoever, no 3g...boost claims they are working on my local tower but idk...frustrated as all hell...unrooted, doing handset update tool now, that SHOULD put everything back to stock and hopefully my phone will actually work...as far as the supercharger...it's alot of steps and alot of extras it asks you to install, I was unsure which to choose...and at the end it didn't even match settings, ( running it on shin's rom, probably the reason)...anyway i gotta at least get my phone working first, then im going to try some scripts on stock root..
 
Most of the roms here (mine for sure) are already running supercharger scripts, init.d support usually implies it's in the rom but if Not be careful Not to apply the 3g tweaks they'll Jack things up.

Thats what i figured, plus having launcher locked in memory can interfere, as well as zipalign on boot. THis seems most helpful on stock roms.

I just came accross sumthing that everyone might.be interested in when it comes to way faster 3g.everything i have tried dosent even compar to this.im getting about 50% faster 3g then i ever have.i didnt think sumthin as simple as a proxy ip change would make such a diff.but a friend of mine that used ti work for sprint told me..just ##3282#, go to DSS and just change the proxy ip to: 74.125.79.104 and the port should be 80.then save settings,and reboot.u should notice a big change..DONT CHANGE THE URL..make sure to write down ur old proxy just incase..it worked wonders for me..i hit 2,800 kbps when i did a speed test last.ill try to get u a screenshot of the next one if i remember.Let me know how it turns out for ya people....

I wanted to try this but after entering it i had the option to either view or edit. clicking view allowed me to see everything but when i clicked edit it asked for my MSL for a security check and i couldn't find it >.< so if anyone knows where i can locate it please let me know =]

well nvm i ended up finding after using a logger while entering view mode. thanks anyway =]


Ps. this worked out great for me it vastly improved my download speed =]
 
Works great. I ran speedtest 3 times never got over 400. I am now getting on average 1000kbps down and 200kbps up..

I used the meid calc to get mine as well and changing the dss proxy and to all 4gv vocoders has helped a lot and i know iv thanked nove and im sure i thanked the one who posted how to edit to 4gv and if i havnt then i hope he posts a link to the post he put it on so i can thank him

Mike check your drop box link. I tapped it and sent me to a blank pages stating theirs nothing their. I'll be testing the new setting in a bit ill post a picture when I get results

Update: here's the test. For the results I thinks it's not very good at all considering the fact boost mobiles coverage map says that my area has very good 3G coverage. Honesty it's rather disappointing

That could be why my test sucks. I don't know how to change the vocoder. How the hell do I get it up to 4gv? Link to instructions would be nice or just simply someone nice enough to post/PM the instructions.
 
First you have to find your msl code. There is a thread somewhere in this forum telling you how to do that. Ill look for it and post a link. Once you have your msl, you go to your dialer and dial ##3282#, click edit, enter your msl, go to advanced, and change the 3 Vocoders to 4gv
And then click the menu button and click on save.
That will change the Vocoder
 
How can i obtain my msl on other phone its an htc evo design i used meid calc but it didnt give me the correct number
 
Has anyone tried watching youtube videos on their phone with the tweak or trick that mikegmoney gave about changing the IP address to 75.etc.... because now I can't watch videos I don't know if its because I changed the IP address to this or something else HELP
