Root [Boost Mobile] Stock B10 Deodexed

I think its laughable that ZTE/Boost pushes out this update, and didn't even fix the flashlight issue. They have paid developers yet they still haven't resolved an issue that I am sure received numerous complaints. It's one word in one file. lol

I would like to thank MrBobo for his work on this. Just like to keep my phone up to date. I don`t know if it`s just me but my phone seem`s to be running better, boots up a lot faster, and no boot up sound, always hated that. The only thing is that I still can`t get any flashlight app to work. Would like to know if it just me or has anybody else has this issue.

This one should work, can someone else test and see?

You don't need to know any special to flash n00b rom, I promise you won't regret it :-) and I Know the flashlight works on that rom lol

Have never done it before would not know were to start. I`ll get that flashlight and let you know.

It's nothing different than what you did to install the deodexed rom, download and reboot to recovery and install from zip that's it. That appshould work with this rom

You make it sound easy but when I did the deodexed I lost everything I had on my phone.I was having sdcard trouble so I switched everything over to the phone and forgot to put it on the new sdcard when I flashed that file, and poof gone. lol. Spent all day getting everything back. Not that hard but time consuming.

Been there done that!! Many times:D Like you said, not a big deal, just time consuming:mad:

Flashing noob rom is the easiest thing in the world to do though!! Just read the op:) Pretty much a one click deal.:) Flash right from stock recovery, and you get rooted, cwm recovery, 1.8 Ghz OC Kernel!! All in one shot:D Plus the themers have all mostly up-dated their stuff to work on it.:D

EDIT: I download and transfer rom's and themes with my laptop, just plug my phone in and just drag and drop the files I want to my sd-card that way. Un plug, start flashing!!!

But what about nandroid backup, wiping cache, dalvik. I did a backup when I rooted, is that good enough?

Whenever you make a nandroid, it is a perfect, exact, copy, of your phone at the moment you made the nandroid. apps and all.:)

I always clear both caches after flashing anything, and every once in a while I clear caches for the benefit of cleaning up the phone a bit and a reboot to free up memory. :)

Best way to save any data you want to restore is to use a program like titanium to back those apps and data up, then after you install the new rom just restore those apps and data.

I had titanium backup before and had all my apps backed up there but I lost titanium backup when i did the deodexed. Got it again, will back everything up again. I`m just a little nervous. This is the only phone I have and can not afford another one right now. Anyway thank you both for all your help. I`ll let you know how it turns out, thanks again.
