Root [Boost Mobile] Tri-Band S3 (SPH-L710T)

Have we tried flashing another nandroid stock?

Im pretty sure thats what helped ol boy back a few pages.

I know when i did that on another phone, i had to modify the nandroid zips md5 folder. Just deleted the 2 files inside it i believe. Otherwise, it kicks an md5 error at me.

I wish he would chime in lol.

Can't find one. And yeh I wish Morro would! It would be so much easier... unless I totally screwed the phone up.

No. I'm 100% sure this can be recovered...It's just all about getting it set right... After the EFS, did you flash your modem/baseband? lol Wishful thinking, but it's worth a shot, otherwise, I'll try to get the stock tarball.

Still no luck :(

I'll see what kies tells me when my batter gets to 60%. Will probably be tomorrow... I have to go to sleep. Work tomorrow. Too bad Veterans day is only 1 day! Should be a week lol
Military life. :P
Edit: Good news is, we know your modem, and EFS are intact. Now.. If morrow gets back with that nandroid, or I can get kies up and moving, we'll get somewhere!

Cya tomorrow

Okay well my phone is bricked. Lol I flashed the wrong rom and it didn't boot since. It's been about a week. I just ordered a jig for my phone so I can get it into download mode. I still need a tar file to flash in Odin or something I can use to fix the phone. So I will be the tester of ways to fix a hard bricked boost l710t

So any help would be appreciated. Would like to get the phone running again. I'm thinking I can just get it in download mode and then flash philz again and then reflash conquest. But I doubt it works. I'll let you guys know. But I really really want to go back to stock, I do not like the whole situation with flashing roms not meant for the phone.

Def good news to know they are intact. I have done a good bit of research and there's several ways to backup and restore the EFS if needed. Since the EFS is intact then they shouldn't be needed. Might want to use it and make a backup of the EFS in the future though.

Here's a some good info on backing up and restoring the EFS. It says it's for the S3 and the info I've read gives me no reason to think it won't work for the T model.

Hope this info helps any who may need it.

My question is, what's causing the issue if these are intact? Strange man. If they are not corrupted using Odin to flash the tar should set things right. SHOULD. The tutorials I've read recommend using Odin to flash the stock ROM. The real stock ROM as in the straight up stock tar.

I'm def going to be following this thread and try to learn a lil something about what's going on. The day may come where I'll be able to use the info learned to help another tri-band model owner in the future. :)

Well.. My hopes were up, but back down now. Kies supports the L710T, but can't support it in download, or give the stock ROM. I refuse to believe they release a phone, with no ROM...

However, it does say something to the accord of "ANF4 Up to date"
Then "ND8/ANF4" so one would assume the non-T and T model radios are the same age... Just a tid-bit.

Ok. So I finally found the right link for beanstalk and flashed it along with gapps. I did the terminal emulator again that FoxTrot told me earlier and flashed the modem. Still no luck with it. And I also tried Kies.... it didn't connect either. If I could only get it back to stock where Boost wouldn't know that it has been rooted, I would just call them and tell them the issues without saying anything about what I did. It could just be the phone because I got it thursday and activated it and didn't really get good service... Text came thru but it didn't let me to go web or anything. Thats the main reason why I did anything. Could it be the phone? Something programed wrong on their end?...
