Root [Boost Mobile] Warp locked up and now continous restarts

My warp locked up so I took the battery out to reset. Now it just continues to get to the boost mobile logo and then restarts again with the boost logo. Over and over again. I have done the system restore as well as bringing it up in FTM mode and the using the zteusa handset software update. When I am in FTM mode it starts to load the new software but when it gets to 7% loaded the phone reboots itself and the update fails and then it's in the reboot loop again.

Any suggestions on anything else to try or do i have a paperweight?

What were you doing before it locked up? Is your phone rooted?

Turn your phone completely off..(pull the battery or what ever you have to do.)

Hold the volume up button then hold the power button at the same time. ..

Let me know if you successfully make it into recovery. ..I will subscribe this thread for instant updates. Give me a 5 min window to respond. We will try to get your phone back on the road

I was actually just trying to make a call and it wouldn't send. It would move around the menus but I couldn't click on anything. I have made it into the recovery menu and wiped all user data.

I have also been able to make it into FTM mode and it will stay in FTM mode until I try to update with the zte software updater. When it gets to 7% the phone reboots itself and the update fails.

Thanks for any help you may offer.

Ok well there goes My 2 suggestions. Don't throw the towel tho. I am trying to locate someone more suitable to help you.

I will add that If you weren't doing anything to manipulate system files I highly doubt that your phone is hard bricked..take the battery out and let the phone sit

Ok thanks. I've got the battery out now. Will try it again in the morning. I forgot to add that it has not been rooted. Just a normal zte warp.

Again thanks for your suggestions. I really thought reloading in FTM was going to work but it just will not take the full update before it resets itself.

Not a problem. Unfortunately I don't know advanced recovery techniques but I've made it known to a few members that do that you need assistance. Soo maybe when you check back they will have pointed you in the right direction:D

I suggest rooting when your phones back up. The stock recovery is garbage. Cwm is a much better recovery to turn to

any chance the phone's battery is dead or barely charged? let it charge overnight off, if the light turns green the phone is charged.

I don't know what would keep the software update tool from working....

I would recommend installing cwm recovery using the ultimate warp drive tool in the all things root section, if you can get that installed you can wipe data/cache and fix permissions... if those don't work, you can flash the stock rom or a custom one and see if the phone will boot, you can always flash a fully stock rom and recovery back if that solves the issue.

One thought, this could be an actual hardware failure like memory or the battery etc, hopefully not but it doesn't sound good since the update tool isn't working...

another thing you can try is pull out the sd card and make a backup then format the card, perhaps something got corrupted on there.

I know this is a long list of things, but I wanted to get you some ideas. Either it's software and one of these things could fix it or it's a hardware failure and you need to replace the cord, battery, sd or phone, hopefully it's software, knowing this phone there is a very strong possibility it's software and we can fix it.

I suggest trying to install cwm. However it may work in the morning. I have pulled My battery too many times to count(b4 I used custom roms ) I wouldn't be surprised if it works when you try and start it.. let us kno either way!

But if it still has the same problem, go to all things root section. Click the thread "root after b08c and use it to install came" feel free to ask questions. More people will be on then. If successfully installed I can almost garentee that it will get fixed after flashing a rom.

Still not working this morning. I'm a little new to this so I may be way off. I have been reading about installing cwm and have downloaded the ultimate warp drive.rar. I have also tried the oneclick installer and also the one Woodstock made. I will keep reading to see if I am doing something wrong.

Is there a way to install cwm with the power off or in FTM mode? The phone will only start the power on and show the boost mobile logo and then immediately restart and show the boost logo again. It never fully shuts down it just continues to load the boost logo.

Are you rooted? Have you tried to install anything as of late? Roms themes anything of that sort?

Is that when you hold the up arrow and power and the Android System Recover <3e> comes up? If so yes I can get there and I have used the wipe data/facrotry reset and wipe cache portion, but still the same loop.

Not rooted. Haven't installed anything recently.

I don't have a backup the only options there are:

reboot system now
apply udate from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

Have you tried any of his suggestions here?

Can cwm be installed with the phone in FTM mode? The phone won't boot to allow me to change the options to install cwm. Sorry if there is an obvious answer to that question I'm a newbie at this. I have also tried cutting the phone on with no sdcard and it still doesn't get past the boostmobile screen.

I am pretty sure that is one of the programs I have downloaded the folder is called ultimate warp drive. Wasn't positive which file to run from there. I have tried the - RUN ME - root + cwm + patch + stock batch file and I have also tried the completely return to stock update tool. The completely stock update tool starts to work but when it gets to 7% the phone shuts off and returns to the boost logo and the update fails.

Thanks for the effort. I'm not sure what else to try either. If I could get it to boot long enough to write an image I think it would be alright. But the shutting down in FTM mode concerns me that something else is wrong. Thanks for your time.

If anyone else has any suggestions feel free to fire away.

I know i bad to manualy reboot my phone a couple times during the install process for cwm and i had to turn usb storage on then right click and eject tto enter debugging then the program would pick up where it left off and install cwm then i had it boot the phone into the cwm recovery and flash the superuser
