Easiest way to get mms working on any of the sprint roms is to use a 3rd party messaging app and manually configure it. I use textra. And for data. Under apn2 ehrpd and apn2 lte. Change.
Apn to n.boost.ispsn
Mmsc to. http://mm.myboostmobile.com
Auth type to pap or chap
And save.
Have flashed every major rom on xda for sprint without data or mms issues. HellFire being the best out there in my opinion based on stability, battery life, and smoothness.


EDIT: These are changes that need to be done in order to get data fully functional ie 3g 4g lte. Must touchwiz roms don't need them altered.
 
for the 3rd party app, will you have to configure it every single time you use it or is it just a 1 time configuration?

Just the first time.
MMSC= mm.myboostmobile.com
MMS PROXY= 68.28.31.7
MMS PROXY PORT= 80

These are settings under manually configure apns with Textra that need to be entered. Cannot confirm on any other 3rd party sms app as I don't use them.
 
I used the MMS fix listed in the OP of this thread with my first flash of the Wicked Sensations ROM. I haven't had to do anything else with MMS. The original changes made with Wicked Sensations have stuck with every Sprint ROM I have flashed afterwards.

As for 4G, unfortunately I am unable to test since we don't have 4g in my area.


As for the new changes within MOAR and Morphology. A good many of the Morphology changes can be made within the phone settings/Morphology. A reboot is needed for a good many of those Morphology changes to take effect. The changes not in settings/Morphology can be changed in recovery with the Aroma installer.

As I mentioned earlier, the issues with the toggles have been addressed in the MOAR ROM thread over at XDA and the steps needed to make the changes can be found there.

You know anything about asop roms you think I could have been restricted to not having 4g because I didn't type in the authentication because everything else is spot on

I would head over and read the actual ROM thread. To save you some time. Start with posts dated from the 28. The posts from that date on will be discussing the update and possible bugs. I have read through many of the posts and there are a few bugs that have been found. There are also steps provided to fix the majority of those issues. Toggle colors not changing are one of the issues that have been addressed. There are posts explaining how to fix this issue.


FOR FUTURE ISSUES WITH ROMS LISTED, PLEASE READ THE ACTUAL ROM THREADS FOR KNOWN BUGS AND FIXES. THAT IS WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE MAJORITY OF YOUR ANSWERS. USUALLY THE SAME FIXES THAT WORK FOR SPRINT ROMS WILL WORK FOR THE BOOST PHONE TOO. :D

Come on biker I've been doing this since DROID 1 of course I did a clean install :) was just wondering if anyone had that issue and thanks for the response lookin for fix now in suggested area of thread. And sorry for being lazy lol

Didn't know if you dirty flashed the MOAR update or not. Lol..... Had to ask. :p
Some users did and they ended up with issues. Even Rompnit advises doing a clean install when flashing the update. He made some major changes with this one. Even though it gives us more theme options, adding Morphology changes to the actual phone settings seems to have made this a little more complicated to set up and theme.

It will be interesting to see if he keeps these changes or reverts back to the original.

Hope you get it figured out. I've had some trouble getting changes to stick too. ;)

Edit, just got my toggles to change color via settings /Morphology /23 Toggle color. Go in and select color. Then scroll to the bottom and select restart system UI. It took a minute but now my toggles are red. Hope this helps. I'm gonna play with more of the options now.

Edit, just changed toggles to blue. It's working fine. Background and text are working too. Gotta select restart system UI though. Make sure that you tap the box at the bottom after selecting the color. That will set the color for you.

Also, I lost color of my wifi icon in the status bar after making the changes. Had to reboot to fix it.

Went back in to recovery/Morphology and changed the whole theme. I went with Purple Chevelle. Toggle color and everything is now purple. Doesn't look that bad. After playing with the Morphology phone settings, now Morphology recovery theming is changing the Toggle color to match the theme. I'm gonna keep playing with it and will report back any info I think will help. :)
 
Guys, I've tested over 10 of the themes available in recovery/Morphology. All are changing the toggles like they're supposed to do. As for the wifi, data, etc icons in the status bar, some themes change them and others don't. If you don't like what's there then you can change them in the toggles setting I mentioned in my earlier post. The battery icon is changed only via MOAR Mod control.

There are a lot of neat themes. As far as toggles, settings, and other colors go, I really like the Google theme. I'm gonna stick with it for now. The Ubuntu themes are cool too.

I've been using the Red Magnum theme! I also figured out the toggles color problem. I just started messing around with stuff what's the worse that could happen I have a backup! Lol Check this out! :cool: added home screen cool wallpaper I found that matches the theme perfectly! I also found a cool iron man.gif that I turned into a boot animation. How can I send it to you biker? So u can post it in this thread.

You can upload it to Dropbox or Media fire and send it in a PM. I'll gladly add it. :D
 
I got both 4G and mms working without any problems on moar... it's hard to test out different settings when you have absolutely no service at home, I have to drive a mile away to test out 4G... I'm going to try testing out carbon again in the next couple of days, hopefully I can get them settings going now that I know what I'm doing:D

Let me know Smith. Hopefully you can get Carbon working. That would be one SWEET addition to our list of ROMs. :)

10fan flashed Vanilla RootBox and gave me the steps he used to get it functional. I've posted them in the AOSP/CM/AOKP section.

Edit: Please note that 4g and mms cannot be used at the same time with this ROM. It is reported that 3g with mms is fully functional.

lol so true but i love the response i get when showing off my phone with the harry potter font on it! lol i mainly use champagne and limousine bold really clean look to it!
 
Update

ADDED NEW TW ROM- M.O.A.R.- JELLYBOMB!!

Tested on my S3. All major features are working. No 4G in my area but I'm sure it's working. If it doesn't after the original flash, try the piggyback.zip. That should give you 4G.

If this is the 1st Sprint ROM you've flashed, there's a very good chance you'll need to do the MMS fix listed in the OP.
 
Oh yes I do have the ROM- TheCollective*[10-2-13] AoCP - CP6.2 {4.3} for L710 running on my Boost phone!!!!

Can't check 4g because I don't have it but 3g is very fast. MMS sends and receives perfectly! Besides not being able to check 4g, it looks like it's fully functional. I'll continue to test and let you guys know.

Man oh man, this baby is butter smooth too!
