Edit : OK i think I got the permissions right, here is a new version:

Only use these with a ZTE Warp, if you use them on another phone, you will probably brick it

Theses are the templates

stock based ROM installer
cm7 based ROM installer
ROM updater
ROM updater with kernel
kernel installer
recovery installer

for ROM installer you add your system folder and the boot.img and zip it
for ROM updater you add your system folder and zip it
for ROM updater with kernel you add system folder and boot.img and zip it

for kernel installer you add boot.img and zip it
for recovery installer you add recovery.img and zip it

ROM installer formats /system /data /cache, installs symlinks, and sets permissions
ROM update does not

CM7 and Stock based ROMS use different symlinks

The ROM updater with kernel would be for both making a new ROM or updating Kernel and /system correct?

no it is only for copying some files to the /system folder

I made a ROM installer for stock based ROMS but found out tonight that the permissions are not right and that it kills wifi

I also change the ROM updater templates to not set any permissions

Yeah I just looked at the updater-script, so the ROM updater w/o Kernel would be for theming?

Hroark pm me when you get the permissions for the stock installer right, i would like to use it for my rom credits to you of course in my protips widget :)

System folder and boot.img thats it. It doesnt matter what kernel i use wether its an edited one or stock it doesnt boot

Hmm mine will boot but won't have root lol I put the su script in bin and xbin and nothing I tried executing them and nothing

I made a return to stock rom that seems to be OK

you may need to edit the installer script for specific files in your ROM

I tried the stock installer template with my rom but all i get is the green android screen upon reboot

Probably has something to do with my boot.img i'm sure

Any idea what might be causing this? I can install the zip and then flash a different kernel and it still wont boot
