Boost Mobile?!

I'm on the Prevail, it's been almost a year, down to $40 a month. I've considered buying a new phone just for something better and faster, and this is the newest one they have, and just as it was stated above, looking over everything on the Boost site you have to sign up for the new Android unlimited plan which is actually $5 more a month, and the hotspot feature is an additional $10 a month.

I have no idea how much data I actually use right now a month, and between the use of 4G (if I can even get it in my area/my coverage sucks now as it is) and the usage of the hotspot data, I'm guessing you would probably hit that mark fast within the month.

Their Fine Print says exactly this:

Sprint 4G (WiMAX) Series:
Boost Mobile reserves the right, without notice, to limit throughput speeds when monthly data usage exceeds 2.5 GB. When a Mobile Hotspot plan is purchased, the data usage limit is combination of phone and Mobile Hotspot usage. Connectivity dependent upon compatibility and speeds may vary.

Customers will continue to have data access but maximum speeds may be limited to 3G speeds of 256Kbps or below for the remainder of the monthly plan cycle. During this time, customers may experience slower page loads, file downloads, and degraded streaming media. Throughput speeds will be restored when your new monthly plan begins.

fyi.

That is incorrect ( the first part your talking about ) I haven't even been with boost a year yet only little over 6 mnths so with shrinkage i was only down to $50/mnth with my prevail and i switched plans to the 4g unlimited plan for the evo and still only cost me $50/mnth their is no $5 increase at all and i didn't lose my shrinkage either. The only thing that costs you more is if you addon the wifi hotspot.

I'm sure they will come out with even a better phone anyway within 6 more months. Just like they did with the Prevail, they are probably going to wait and see what kind of response they wind up with from this one. I think I'll wait. lol

lol yeah maybe next will be nexus or galaxy 3 :D

I know their are allready people with nexus on boost but i mean not a $500 phone that is diluted down to be on boost like everyone on this forum that dummied it down for the old 3g boost network mnths ago when it is designed for 4g and wasted their money. Putting a nexus on the boost 3g network is like buying a cadillac and it performing like a ford pinto lmao i really don't understand why people wasted their time and money to force it on boost.

But if boost releases it for 4g it could be pretty cool, I heard rumor that iphone is coming to boost as well later this year.

If they ever come out with an affordable dual core processor that's worth buying into, then I'll buy a new phone. Until then I'll just keep modding my prevail till I cant no more. lol

I'm wondering the same thing about the update, I've avoided DLing so far. Also, another way to always reach a Boost rep on the phone is dialing 888-boos-t4u, selecting account management option, then select the option to "change your phone number." When they answer, just go right into your issue-it doesn't matter what option you picked to reach them.

I resemble that statement but can say it still performs like a cadillac. Also it wasnt much effort. I have never had a boost branded phone that was good. My nexus s 4g and my wifes epic both are fantastic. BTW search ebay for "nexus s bad esn" and tell me its an expensive phone.
