Root Boost Moto E 2015 LTE Stock 5.0.2 and 5.1 Soak test ROMs

I already have exposed installed and have a few modules like gravitybox and stuff but what I'm not sure its on whether I need a computer to theme it or it can just be done on the phone but. feel me?
I done 85% of theming my JollyRoger ROMs (or ANY ROM) on my phone but I can also use PC instead. There ARE some APK's (like Google's) that break when theming the normal way so knowing both methods can benefit. Pm me @pope15 and I'll tell ya what apps you need. And yes, there's some paid apps involved

Here is the latest soak test ROM. Build number: LPI23.29-18-S.2

Other Downloads:
surnia_boost_51-2_hotspot_fix.zip - Need at least my TWRP 2.8.6.0 v2-5. It will not work with older versions. 2.8.7.0 is also good.

This is a great ROM, I am using Ring Plus with Sprint XT1526. The LTE works much better then my Note 4 (also on Sprint service). However, I am having problem to make the hotspot works correctly; I have 5.1-2 Deodex ROM with hotspot_fix, and the hotspot work with 3G but not on LTE. Any suggestion ?

Thanks,

6.0.0 r1 AOSP was pushed to source on on Monday...Moto released a list of devices to receive the update...Moto E 2015 was not on the list. [emoji20]

Weird problem here. Using your (SuperR's) 5.1-2 Debloated ROM with Wifi Hotfix. Everything has been fine until this morning, at which point I stopped being able to connect to the internet while connected to my phone, either through USB tethering or WiFi hotspot. I can still connect to the phone, but the connection stops there. To make things stranger, the phone is still getting data through the browser, apps, etc... The only thing I have changed recently is my data plan; I changed from the 5 gig plan to the $60 Unlimited/No Throttling.

Do you think that Boost has found a new way to block wifi tethering with it's new Unlimited plan?

Certainly possible. I didn't even know they had a no throttle plan for $60.

If u get a custom ROM they can't block WiFi tether from my experience

I am using SuperR's custom debloat/deodexed 5.1 rom ver 2 with the Wifi tethering hotfix applied. And, from about 2 months ago until today the WiFi tethering worked fine. But now when I connect to the hotspot created by my phone, using the native Android tethering function, it will not resolve any connection attempts by my PC. My phone has no trouble using data at all, just sharing the data with my PC. Does that make sense?

Have you tried flashing the hotspot fix again?

Here's a little homage wallpaper I made for the Surnia. @SuperR can we make a splash screen too?

Just received this phone and was glad to see what you've put out there for others to use.
I loved your work for the moto g boost.
A few questions though.
1. My device is already 5.1 so, there's really no reason for me to use the soak test is there?
2. I loved Philz Touch for the moto g. Is there anyway it'd possibly work for this device? (I'm fine with TWRP, nevermind this one)
3. Will you be making a debloated version of 5.1?
4. If no to the previous question is there a way for me to delete all this boost pre-installed software/ if so is it safe to do so?
5. Could I use the same steps I used on the moto g to remove the unlocked bootloader warning? (fixed it myself)
6. Does this phone have LED light like the moto g? (Found a kernel that supports it)

That's all I have, sorry if it's alot. Thanks for all your work and can't wait to see what else you put out.

I recommend using SuperR's flashable boot logos to fix the warning screen cause if you don't and flash others it'll mess up the clogo (charge logo that shows when the phone is charging while powered off), I had this happen before when I had the phone. The Moto E 2nd gen does have an LED light but many have had problems trying to use it for a while, hope this helps, you can delete bloatware with Titanium Backup as usual, but I recommend backing up system apps before deleting them cause they'll be needed for proper ota installs

I've already found a boto logo to fix the warning and I've found a kernel that supports LED notifications.
Titanium backup, yes! Thanks !

Just make sure your clogo isn't messed up, you can check it by charging the phone while it's off, and although you've found a kernel that supports LED notifications it still may not use the LED light properly, that's the experience many of us have had in the past

Thanks! the clgo isn't messed up. Also, it's been working flawlessly for me so I can't complain.
