Root Boost volume so phone is loud on car like an iPod?

My when I connect my optimus v to my car's aux. jack is nowhere as loud as my iPod.

Is there a tweak I can make so the output is louder?

I do raise the volume all the way on the optimus. But still won't match my iPod and you get that hollow audio like the car speakers are being forced.

NOTE: By loud I mean loud enough, opposed to everything vibrating in a 50 feet radius from my car. If anyone posts here with the intention of ridiculing me giving me a lecture on noise pollution, save your words.

Have you tried an app called Volume Ace? It allows you to bump the total system volume to it's max.
