Root Boot Animation Gallery

I just wanted to double check, we dont remove the original verizon boot screen right? I'm just trying everything I can and that one is still coming up, gRRRRRRRR

I notice when looking through Astro that in the data folder it is empty and when I look into the system/media/boot folder I see the default boot screen, is there a way I can some how just replace these files with new ones?..sorry im just gettin frustrated cuz i dunno why when everything seems to go smooth that my custom isnt showing up

Here, I made a green version of Red Rage because I like green more than red.

Here's a rough preview (the real thing isn't nearly so choppy):

are you on 1.5 still? if so, from what i have read on other forums (but i cant confirm as i dont have 1.5 anymore) you cannot do this. its for 2.1 leak or ota. rooted or non rooted can do this but not from 1.5

sorry but hopefully this clears some things up for you

sorry to bother everybody with another "HELP!" but i'm using a mac and the 2.1 leak and i followed the instructions for mac several times and the terminal window does... well something idk what all that code means, but when i reboot my phone i still see the same old thing :(
any help would be great cuz i want to make a video on how to do this for youtube.com
if i need to i can do it on a pc at work but i would like to do it at home

It's been long enough since I did the 2.1 thing that I can't remember, but didn't the original 1.5 boot animation include sound? Is that possible when using an alternate animation?

Happy to help, if I can ... but you need to tell us the messages you get from the Terminal program.

yeah that would be cool if we could add sounds.

As far as the sound I believe it was just like a little R2D2 type sound from the waving droids.

You can add sounds....Its just a different format with an xml file and Gifs instead of pngs.

Crap, that figures....I was wondering why it wasnt working when everything went through as it was suppose too....just another reason why I need to push myself and do the 2.1 leak, so many choices, root/leaks 1 and 2 lol...im prob gonna go with the 2nd 2.1 leak as I dont see myself benefiting to much from root [and i dont wana mess anything up lol]

I can't get this to work at all.

LOL for a first post this is pretty weak. Is there anyway you can provide us with information as to what you are trying and what error messages you are getting, and where you are stuck? Is your phone running in debug mode when you try this? Give us a run down of whats going on and maybe we can help. Welcome to the forums!
