This ICS boot animation was originally a much bigger file but it has been optimized to run smoothly on all LG Optimus One P500, and P500 based phones. LG Optimus: (One, M, S, U, V, T, C, etc.)

Those of you who are using ICS themes for your home launcher, or CM7 theme chooser, can use this bootanimation to add to the look and feel of ICS on your optimus. It looks pretty neat, give it a try :)

Installation: This zip is not flashable, to install it put it in your system/media folder or your data/local folder (whichever one you prefer) using a root capable file manager such as Root Explorer, ES File Explorer, etc.

If anyone plans on using this, all I ask is for you to click the "thanks" button.

Enjoy!

Does this do any good if you're rooted, but using the stock ROM?

Don't know what exactly you are asking, but yes you can use this on any ROM and such as the stock ROM, or custom ROMs.. just follow the installation directions and you can use it.. pretty simple.

Not to be a prune or anything, but it seems like you just took this guys file and re-uploaded.... [JAN 22][Bootanimation]COD MW3/Nexus Prime/RAGE/DROID RAZR - xda-developers

Comment near the bottom, staknhalo.

Well you see that is where you are wrong, mine is completely different. Mine is "optimized" to run smoothly on LG Optimus phones. Look at the package size of my boot animation which is only 414 KB, while the bootanimation you linked to is 1.75 MB in size. That is where the optimization comes to play.. It is a BIG difference in size and resolution. They are completely different from each other. You obviously don't know what you are talking about when accusing me of taking someone else's work when I haven't done so.

Before making accusations, make sure you are right.

I would simply call it "giving credit where credit is due". It would have been polite to at least give a link to the original file. Then, you'd get credit for your optimization work, *and* the original author would get props for the design. Heck, the original guy might even link back to yours and say "This awesome dude optimized my animation, sweet. Learn from his wisdom".

I'll just assume you were attempting irony by saying "make sure you are right or you will just end up making yourself look stupid", k? :D

Well first of I didn't even get the file from that link, I found a mediafire link on google when searching for the bootanimation.. which then I optimized to run smoother on my LG Optimus phone. I never said I took the file from that link posted on xda, I was simply pointing out the differences from my Bootanimation and the Bootanimation in the XDA link..

And secondly, that poster didn't even make the bootanimation.. nobody has created/designed this bootanimation except for the people over at Samsung/Android. Whenever you see a ICS boot animation, it is simply someone just sharing it by exporting it from their phones for people to use or sharing a version that they modified to work on certain phones, which is what I have done.

So credit is due nowhere.

I'll just quote myself again "Before making accusations, make sure you are right."

I ask to keep the posts on this thread on-topic or I'll just have to call in a moderator. If you are not going to use it, that's fine with me, but don't but don't come in here and make false accusations.

Have a nice day.

Before making accusations, make sure you are right or you will just end up making yourself look stupid. Another thing, if you have nothing better to say then don't say it at all. I took my time to optimize this boot animation so that people can use it, and not to have people like you come in and bash me when all im doing is providing people with something they can use and enjoy.

Not that file, The one posted by the other guy near the bottom of the page. You forgot to read my post through. The one by Staknhalo near the BOTTOM of the page. I just copied and pasted this, As I know what I am talking about.

Trimmed ICS boot animation Hey guys, I got sick of the slow frame loading on my Optimus V so I trimmed it down a bit. This comes at a cost of image quality though as I had to shrink resolution/compress/remove frames/lower frame rate. I think I came to a suitable compromise though. Try it out.

AS he trimmed it down, Same Filesize and everything, even photos. I checked the zip files. As he has a Optimus too. Therefore I did not make my self look stupid. ;D

But I only asked a question, you could have just said Yes, or No.
