Root Boot animations for 2.3 using Revolution

Hello, i just rooted my EVO using Revolution because i have Gingerbread. Everything seems good. I tried to use a custom boot animation though, and it wont work. Do i need a certain one for Gingerbread? Thanks

You have to name it spc_bootanimation for gingerbread.

Is there a step by step process to add a boot animation? Like there was to root my phone? That was actually pretty easy. But i cant seem to fine a step by step instructions to do a boot animation on a GB EVO 4G. Anyone know where to find this? Thanks!
