Root Boot Animations, shutdownanimations and extras

Hey Community,

I've been working on some boot animations and shutdown animations for our beloved LG Spirit. I do not take credit for none of the animations other than resizing them to fit our LG Spirit. If you guys have any request let me know. The extras are the Galaxy S4 ringtones converted from ogg to mp3 and the S4 wallpapers. Go to the link below to get any of them.

Here are some of the names that deserve the credit, again all I'm doing is resizing them. I will be posting some more soon. As well as my owns. Keep an eye on my Google+

Thanks, just let me know if you have a request, again I don't get credit for the animations but I do change the size so that it can look good on our phone. The shutdown animation is the same as the boot animation all you need to do is to rename the boot animation to shutdown animation and you'll be able to use the same boot animation for your shutdown animation. Did you watched the video?

Just go and download it from the dropbox link. I got there so far the dark night, superman, ICS and the movie anime.

Yeah, the wife's phone, everything in here goes for two, two LG Optimus, two LG Esteem and now two LG Spirit, lol.

2 ways to do it...

1. Go to /system/media
delete bootanimation.zip
place new boot animation there and rename to bootanimation.zip
done

2. Or skip the above and place new boot animation in /data/local
Then rename it to bootanimation.zip
done
This method overrides the one in /system/media without having to delete it.
 
What I usually do is create folders titled whatever animation it is and place said anime zip in the folder and rename all the zips to bootanimation.zip so I'm not constantly having to rename stuff. Also be sure to save the stock metro one just in case you need it.

Or you can do what I do... Make flashable zips. :aetsch:

This way no need to rename or do any other steps. :D

No problem, just give credit to the names I listed in the OP as well. I'm making my original from Scareface and Dwayne Wade and others as well. Keep checking and when you are there follow my Google+ for the Spirit.

Hey guys just updated the OP and added the dropbox link. I have included few new bootanimations; Blue Alien, Clock Hell, Dwade, Gateway, Ice Tunnel, Reactor, S3, Scareface and Solar Flare in Blue. I'll be adding more as soon as I can.
 
got a question.. Cant I load up the systemui.apk with 7zip and replace a the mpcs 4g png with the verizons 4g lte png? without decompiling and recompiling?

Yes... To swap png's, you don't need to decompile. Just make sure the png's are the same size.

You only decompile when editing xml's.
 
Since we're here, how can you enable a boot sound? Maybe by placing a mp3 file in the media folder with the bootanime, or is something else needed?
