Root Boot images and sounds....hmmm

So Im running cm7 and as we all know its highly customizable. And arguably the best rom out there. I've figured out the image. That was easy. Now as for the sound, I've tried everything; terminal emulator, bootStrapSound.ogg, android_audio.mp3, etc. Any ideas on how this can be accomplished, would be much appreciated.
 
I will ask pip, but I think it needs enabled some place in the rom. I too tried to just add a bootstrapsound.ogg n it no workie.
 
I've been at this for 3 days straight just hoping that one of these methods would work but alas, it wasn't meant to be...I will stay vigilant thru these trials and there WILL be absolution
 
i tried it the day cm6/7 came out, and it was a no go for me...but i know in icarus you had to add to the build.prop, i might try adding the same thing in here to test it.
 
I almost had it by changing the build properties and data/local files and the sound worked but sent my phone into an endless bootloop sooo.....yeah
