Root Boot loop problem after flashing theme

Oh man. So similar to the problem I've got at the moment, hoping I can piggy back off this a little bit.

I have a Desire HD. I had the same issue with the boot loop of the ICS screen. Unfortunately I also seem to have a completely screwed volume down button. I therefore can't seem to get into recovery mode, also no luck talking to the phone in ADB. Basically, I switch my phone on, it brings up the HTC logo and then just loops the ICS animation. Have taken the battery out and left it for a while, tried ADB (looks like usb debugging was off!), tried various things without luck. Sadly I had clockwork mod up to date and a backup in place but yeah, with volume down not working, it don't help much!

Can anyone advise a way I might get around this? It's looking like my only option might be getting my volume down button repaired, which will be fairly costly.

EDIT: Sorry, I realise this is an SII specific forum but I can't figure out how to delete this post :P.

I've moved your post to the Desire HD section as something that works for the SGS2 may not be good for the DHD. Better safe than sorry!

You better hope you left USB debugging on.

Download http://www.iloveabath.co.uk/adb.zip & unzip
Pull your battery & reinsert
Plug into your PC & wait for the orange charging LED
Open a command prompt window
Within command prompt navigate to the folder you unzipped adb to
Run this command,
Code:
adb reboot recovery
