Boot sound for custom roms

I'm on the baked ROM as of the moment which is F'ing awesome, but just wondering is there anyway to to put a boot sound to any of these custom ROMs? I know it would be hella cool and give the phone a lil swag as u turn it on.... Ijs...
 
Our phone by default are setup to play a sound file called PowerOn.ogg that is located in the /system/media/audio/ui/ folder. I have replaced the default sound on mine with a different one using a Root explorer (have to make sure that the file attributes are set to rw, r, r)
 
Yea that will make it work. You can even search Google for boot sounds for epic 4g touch. Download the file and push it in there with a root explorer

I wouldn't say none. But I can't think of any of hand that have a boot sound. Other than the stock jb leaks. But it's just sprint stock boot sound

You can find your own boot sounds and put it in there. Just Google search boot sound epic 4g touch and you will come up with some stuff
 
I'm running cm10.1 wild for the night and this did not work for me...? I also read somewhere else to try a .wav in /system/ect... Tried that as well and still nothing..? any help would be appreciated thanks ~Matt
 
Yeah that didnt help im still stuck i did everything properly and nothing...? Is it an absolute necessity that you need a poweroff sound in order for it to work?
