Hey guys.... Anyone willing to help me with the files and instructions on how to unlock a bootloader...I just found out that on A though C of lg's firmware are unlocked or can be unlocked... i want to load them all from a to c and find out which one's are unlockable or not..... i have done alot of research online all day with no luck other then i need adb and fastboot drivers and can't seem to find fastboot drivers....anything the people here can do to point me in the right direction would be helpful.....being i don't use this phone anymore i will try this to see what can do.....thanks

all versions the bootloader is LOCKED!!! Hence why the Motion was added to loki. ;)

Well like i said in my first post... i have read that A to C is either unlocked or can be... i wanna play around with this for this phone and others....if noone here can help then that's fine just a question....

WOW!

WOW!

dunno what you read, but its misinformation, all version of the Motions bootloader are locked. ;)

F can be bypassed with loki. Only option for the Motion. ;)

Well i would say that we dont really know. Since we haven't found anybody that has firmware a or b but my best bet would be that they are locked. Having loki on F is almost the same as an unlocked boot loader as it allows the phone to bypass the bootloader.

P.S. Does anybody know if we raised $800 yet??

for???

Well my next step was to download the fermware versions..this is also a genaral question for other lg phones

A and B are nowhere to be found. The motion is already phased out of the metro line up point blank and the way it is now is sufficient so in my opinion it would be a waste of everyone's time... I would make the suggestion to spend time working on your new phone if you want to accomplish something. But good luck if you believe everything of what you read. Lol

you would be better off going to xda forums. they have documents on the 8960. bootloader architectures and more. you will get a much better idea on what you are trying to do.

this forum is not the place to ask for any type of help.people here have tried so many things and have decided to ridicule anybody that still tries.

I wouldnt say that, want to see ridicule, go on XDA asking about anything on a prepaid device. ;)

And not to mention, I did not ridicule anyone, I told him the facts, firmware versions A & B are nowhere to be found, and there is no reason to assume their were any more unlocked than the available versions. ;)

I Didnt say ask anybody about anything! I stated there are documents to be studied that will help one in pursuit of knowledge.
everybody says DO IT YOURSELF. so this guy wants to try himself, cool. he just made a mistake of asking how to get started.
Even if he cant do it, it will give him knowledge and maybe he will help on another phone down the line.

And dont take it so personally.
i have learned from along time here about how it works.my statement wasnt specifically from this thread it comes from a year or two here.

This is the best dam answer i could have gotten from this thread....:p

There are plenty of people here willing to help at things that are worth helping at but this is a dead issue. Xda won't give you any help on the motion because it simply doesn't even have a section for this phone hence why this subforum is one of the more active ones.

Believe me guys, xda doesnt need a section for the Motion. there is tons of stuff on the chipset with the same setup. by spending hours studying wont automatically unlock it, but its his best bet at starting.

Its his phone, if he wants to unlock it I want to encourage him on his quest. Even if he cant do it,i would like him to try, he will gain experience, maybe he will be able to unlock the phone i buy in a year or two when i can afford one.
I am just sorry i dont have much to offer as help, but the first three pages of google link i posted will give some info on what others have done and how they did it.
