Is a locked (encrypted) bootloader a dealbreaker for you?

There has been a ton of talk about, "If a phones bootloader is locked (encrypted) then its a deal breaker!" So I was wondering how many people felt this way so I thought I would make a poll

On this forum there will probably be a lot more people that won't buy the phone if the bootloader is locked. The average person I don't think really cares. For me I will probably not buy it, but it depends on if the phone really blows me away or not, and it can not have any thing other than Vanilla Android if I would be stuck not being able to have a custom ROM.

I won't lie, I don't know what a bootloader is (or what are the implications of having said bootloader locked) so I'm here representing the average user. :)

Basically a locked bootloader severely limits custom ROMs and makes it even more difficult to have custom kernels. Bricking your phone is a lot bigger possibility on a phone with a locked bootloader if you are tinkering too much with the OS.

I'd like it unlocked, but If I like the phone and it has big enough RAM for me, I'd probably take it. As the poll stats shown, this is what most ppl will do anyways. I'm sure majority phone buyers out there won't really care or even doesn't even know what a "bootloader" is.

Not care, buy the phone for what it is, then see what is possible afterwards. I've seen cheapo tablets with only 2.1, probably wouldn't buy even if I could mess with it.

Have rooted & leaked FW, tried some custom rom. But I have a job, a life & sometomes like to sleep at night instead of worrying about bootloaders. Worry more about the direction world politics is going in tbh.
