Root Bootlooped and can't get into recovery...help

had a rooted froyo 2.3.3. installed maderstcok340.zip to go to stock 2.3.4. worked fine. did a system upgrade and after install I'm locked in bootloop. Tried to enter recovery mode with the power + home, doesn't do anything. pulled battery and tried again. nothing works, please help.
 
yes I can hold home and power forever and not get anything more than a red m logo which goes into bootload whenever I let go. have to research the sbf.
 
OK I've done this before, but its been awhile. I sbfed it and got it working. Now I did a factory wipe, and trying the upgrade again. crossing my fingers.
 
Well I can get the phone to work, but can't get it to take the latest OTA update, 4.5..... I tried pulling the memory card and retrying the install. Does anyone know what is the 4.5 update, is it gingerbread?
 
All set. i was able to download the 4.5 download file and install it with rsd lite. working fine. thanks all
 
maderstcok and red moto logo being involved in the same scenario was your problem...the issue you ran into was that maderstcok and Gingerbread do not play nicely...you can't upgrade to Gingerbread after using maderstcok for some unknown (to me anyway) reason...
