Root Bootstrap / Recovery Question

Rooted Droid X with clockwork recovery flashed. How come when i use either rom manager or the bootstrap application to boot into clockwork, it does no problem. but when i try to force recovery via the physical buttons, it will boot into the stock andriod partition. Im fairly new to the bootstrap thing and would like some clarification on this if anyone can offer it.. i mean if i get into a boot loop, the stock partition wouldnt help me much

bootstrap recovery doesnt replace the stock recovery as previous versions of android does, this allows you to boot to a seperate recovery, while still being able to boot into stock recovery.

i hope this answers your question

What if i get into a boot loop, how would i force into the CWR and fix it ?

Edit - If the phone is plugged into the wall jack and I hold power and home and release the power button continuing to hold home when the moto icon comes up , it does boot into CWR , which is what ive been looking to do

you dont even need to use button combos when its plugged into the wall, its a failsafe for the app

just plug into a wall, cut it on, and there ya go, no need to press buttons
