Last week I picked up a galaxy tab from T-mobile. The plan was to use it as a replacement for my paper notebook at work, as I often take a lot of random notes throughout the day as well as put together a daily agenda. For that purpose, the G-tab has been great. I've also been using it a lot to browse the web from my bed and catch up on Dexter, and I plan on using it to take notes in class when I start grad school in the fall. I played with a Xoom but I didn't like the size and weight, and I didn't think the lack of 3.0 would bug me. But here I am a little over a week in and I'm starting to worry that the G-tab will be forgetten with the slew of honeycomb tablets coming out. I already have an Evo and I feel like I might be wasting my money on the Tab when my Evo can essentially do the same thing (albeit on a smaller screen). I have a 3 more days to return the Tab and cancel the contract and I have no idea what to do. Each day that goes by I feel I'll be more and more comfortable with the 10" size and weight. My biggest concern might be that although it's a tablet, the G-tab wont get any of the benefits the other tablets will get because its not likely to be getting honeycomb, and it will continue to be treated as a big phone. Any thoughts, anecdotes, or advice? Should I stick with the Tab because I like the 7" size? Go with the Xoom? Hold out for the 10.1 Tab or G-Slate? Maybe even the Flyer? My head is spinning.
