Help Bought a Rooted Droid. Wont let me unsync gmail account

I bought this rooted droid and am trying to delete the original owners gmail account because it is said to be tied to certain applications. Tried factory reset (I know it stays rooted after this) but still cannot get rid of this account. Help Please.

Did you already add your own account? (as to having two accounts on the phone as of now). Maybe it won't let you have 0 zero accounts becuase you need one.

Actually the original accout cant be deleted. In order to get rid of it you will have to do a factory reset

I am fixing to sell my rooted droid1 on ebay, should i unroot the phone or can i just go in to recovery an do a wipe of everything and sell it that way, as long as i post that it rooted an romed?

Yeah doing a system wipe of everything. Yes just put in your ad that its rooted and romed. Some people would be mad if you did not tell them that the phone was rooted.
