Root [Bounty] I.C.S. Lets get it going!!!!

Ok, this thread is to get I.C.S going as soon as possible and reward the Dev/Dev's that make it possible. Who ever gets Cm9/ ics going will get the full bounty and they will decide how the money gets split. Must be working fully and stable.

Terms = fully working rom.
gpl compliant.

No offense to you or anyone else here but...these bounties never get paid up....ever. There's been so many on so many different phones and I have yet to see one get paid up.

Ps will be moving you over to the All Things Root section shortly. ;)

Shiny, I have to say you are right to be speculative I have been around alot for the development of rom's and so on. I just want devs to know we are here and we want the dev support and to support them. On xda I have never heard of a bounty not being paid. I pledge 20 bucks and I will pay it no matter what. We all need to stick together and support the development of our beloved LG Eteem.:D

I will add this if no one comes forth I will pay the bounty in full. I would hope no one leaves me hanging like that though I have bills to pay as I'm sure you all do too lol. I am an unemployed cook learning android in hopes to one day replace my culinary arts job. learning app deving atm. Also adding that it must be a amount I can pay and in payments lol.

Ah, guess this is a root subject lol sorry.

Play has helped me out from my moms ha to my brothers sammy indulge...I am really hoping this goes to play cause well lets face it he is the man! lol
 
I'm not doubting you or your word at all bud. But a lot of people see bounties and think "oh the more money the faster it will get done, so Ill push the lump sum up 40 bucks more for.faster results" but then those people, when the ROM or whatever is released grabs it downloads it and have what they want and haul butt.

But more or less saying if you (not you in particular) post that you will add 5,10,20,50,100 or whatever to the pot then pay up when its delivered.

But also I can already tell you who is bringing/will be bringing us ICS/CM9 which is PlayfulGod with some help here and there from some others but primarily PG. ;):)

Totally, I guess getting emails and names would maybe stop the hi and bye kind of stuff. Either or I feel I owe PG something and will be donating to him. This was just a ploy to help him recover time lost and help future deving. I plan on donating to spc, kane, and mt they all need to be thanked. Income taxes here I come lol!

well, how about this... instead of "WAITING" on the ROM development, how about we support the devs NOW for them to be able to focus more on the work and to possibly help them making a better ROM within less time. i mean, if we PAY NOW then that will help them and we will have a nice ROM in anytime. although money won't probably make the development faster but it will surely help with resources and support, also is nice to see some cash when you are working your butt out. That indicates that people are hoping and thriving for one's effort so it gives a MEANING to actually work for a ROM (for the people).
 
All I got to say is, u might as well give the money to PG. Only dev on this thread (that I know of) who's busting hit tail in getting us cm9. plus he deserves the donations for previous work on here and MT for the kernel, rom, and hdmi fix

That is why we should hold bounties in an escrow type account. Maybe have a mod hold onto it until someone claims it? Or people can just send donations to PG.
 
bounties never gets cash in, but in my option donating to the devs directly is better and that way they can get paid for there time as they spend alot working on things when they could be out making money for there bills. (IMO)
 
I have no means to 'dis' the bounty idea but my opion is, if you wish to award the dev's/themer's/etc. and they have a donate link. Donate to them directly.

The idea of a cash pot then spliting it to the dev's seems a little shady. (not saying anyone is, thats just how it seems to me, is all).

I feel making the dontation to the dev's directly is the answer imo. :D
 
here is my take on bountys, for one I have never see none paid out, with maybe the exception of k0nane and DRockstar on thier Indulge work, and I dont know 100% they got paid a bounty or any donation for that matter.

I myself, as a dev, tho still learning, would hate to put in countless hours trying to earn a bounty only to have some one come in out of the blue to claim it.I personally dont do what I do for money, but its nice to get a lil pocket change for my efforts and time from time to time, and it keeps the wife off my ass after I spend so much time doing this. So I agree with
