Root Brain Fart: Which storage is the actual external SD card we inserted?

When I wish to move apps from the phone's storage to my SD card, which was labeled as "external storage" on the EVO OG, what is the analogous label for the EVO LTE? I see either "internal storage" or "phone," but both seem to be the same. Just wanting to make sure.

I guess I should expect this when I'm floating on Vicodin here. :smokingsomb:

But neither of those are listed as an option to which to move an app. There's either "phone storage" or "internal storage."

Sdcard 2 is the external sdcard. You don't need to worry about using any app to move the apps to external storage as we did the OG. This phone has plenty of internal storage space for your apps and the system apps.

I understand that, but my question remains unanswered. When I use App2SD Pro, it offers only the 2 options with the labels I mentioned above.

The bigger idea of Args post that that you shouldn't need to move anything.

And you should know from the OG EVO days that those apps ultimately cause more issues :p

I never thought that such a simple question could generate such complicated replies. Again, my initial question remains unanswered. Truthfully, I don't care about the other stuff.

Apps2sd Pro is confused by the filesystem.

If you have an external sd card, you can try the mod linked in the sticky guide to swap /sdcard with /sdcard2, that's why they made it.

Make a nandroid backup before trying.

I would assume by seeing what your asking that the app is not seeing an external card. it is seeing the phone memory which is like a gig<--(forgive me if this is wrong) for your apps and stuff and then it see's the internal "CARD" that is like 10 gig. I think Early's method would make your external seem like the internal giving you X amount more room for storage than the 10gig that is there.

Hopefully this helps answer your question

Here's the path I had to use to get Syetem Tuner Pro to store backups on the external SD card.

/mnt/sdcard/ext_sd

I got that from the dev and it worked fine. Maybe that's what you're looking for...

These sort of apps strictly believe that external storage is /sdcard and you can't specify other paths, so the ext_sd won't help either. The question isn't in the thread title but rather in terms of the app choices.

This one seems to have lost its mind because this is a post-Gingerbread filesystem layout and it's no longer giving even the choices it advertises.
