Root Bricked again

Well my phone was plugged into a car charger and froze up. Wouldn't turn off or anything so I pulled the battery. Well now I have a fancy paper weight:mad: metro has ordered me another one, thank goodness:thumbup:. This will be my second warranty exchange in 2 weeks. Anyone know what might have caused this?:confused:

is it a brick that you cant unbrick? because i bricked mine on purpose (shhh..lol)one time just to see if i could unbrick it and i did via the emergency download.

It's A perma-brick hints the term paperweight. I did nothing or of the ordinary this time it just froze up and died:(

well damn that sure is weird i would have been like :argh: had it happen to me...but good thing metro's not being a prick about it and getting you a replacement.. :)
 
Yes that true one time i used one and it make my motion turned off and the only way it could work again was unplugging it

Those charger may look like the right one but doesn't mean it is
Have you try another charger
 
I think that is why I got an extra data cable and run it thru a usb adapter in my customized 87 Chevy Surburban as opposed to running the "normal" car charger.

I don't trust those things with DC voltage. Yet thats just me.
 
well weren't you the guy who has been giving so much propoganda about phones modifications?
cut your phone testings and probably its never going to happen again.

I hope you're not referring to me. I've not been testing shyt. I've been praising the phone the way it is, and saving money for the gs3
 
well it was to you. Sorry that you bricked it. Modern smart phones are like modern pcs. If you look back in days, everyone used to tweak their pc, overclocking Ram, cpu, video cards. Today you simply dont need it. Smartphones are taking the same paths.
I took a beating of my Optimus M, after almost 2 years it came to me that all the Roms that I installed are not really worth it. I'm not going to install any modifications on my Motion beyond root. I own 3 motions, all rooted, no problems whats so ever.

And at last, things do not break few times in row for no reason.

The car charger bricking phones has happened more than once. It's been posted twice for this device alone. Who knows, the same problem could happen with the 4X as well.
