Root Bricked droid x, please help.

Here's the deal...I bricked my phone about a month ago and never got around to coming here and seeing if anyone knew what I could do to make it work again.

Background: I flashed my OTA gingerbread droid x back to Froyo, rooted Froyo then downloaded the two part gingerbread file and loaded it onto the phone. Worked like a charm. Then i started changing things(boot logo/animation, root apps blah blah blah) and all of that worked perfectly too.

I decided to download a Rom(Liberty) and a them for it. Everything loaded perfectly but I had to restart my phone for something and since then its all gone downhill. At first it would just get stuck on the boot animation. Then it wouldn't get passed the boot logo. And now it won't do anything at all really. The phone won't do anything at all when not plugged into the charger and when it is, the yellow Liberty logo pops up and I can't do anything from there.

I did a little research before making this thread an all of the solutions to this problem involve the "Press home, camera, volume down to get into boot loader" step in order to SBF the phone back to factory. Unfortunately for me, the phone will NOT go into boot loader mode. While its plugged in, it doesn't seem to be charging or anything either as it won't do a damn thing without the charger being connected.

Is there anything else I can do to get the phone working again? Like I said...I CANNOT get the phone into bootloader mode. Nor will the phone show up when connected to my PC. There is a great LED light that comes on when connected to my PC but thats it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you get into stock recovery? Hold home button and press power button. if the triangle comes up press the back button and wipe data/cache then reboot. .

Wierd the liberty screen comes up but you can't get into bootloader.

Do you have acess to another battery?

You can't get into the bootloader probably because you just need to hold vol down and camera right as you power up the phone. To get into stock recovery you hold home and power.

actually the way to get into the bootloader:
Volume down, + Camera + Power

once the screen flashes quickly
release, and your in the bootloader

the only time you hit the home button with the power is getting to stock recovery, and you have to hold home in and release power when you see the phone turn on, and you hold home until the exclamation mark comes up, if your on GB you hit vol up and down
if your on froyo you hit the search key to enter the stock recovery

yeah i was reading home button somewhere in your post and was like hmmm thats not right, then after i posted i saw you you actually wrote lol. ding dong for me

All you have to do is hold both volume keys and press power for a few seconds and then let go of the power button to get into bootloader mode.

No need for the camera button.

is that the gingerbread way? cause froyo is vol down + camera + power, and i always use that method, even on gingerbread roms

This ended up being a matter of a dead battery....

For whatever reason, when the Liberty Rom i flashed to my phone crashed, it wouldn't charge the battery no matter what I did. Because of that, it wouldn't let me get into the bootloader(I thought i said in the OP that the phone wouldn't let me get into it no matter what combination of buttons i pressed) so i had to charge the battery in another droid x, put it back in mine, then i was able to turn the phone on and get into the bootloader.

From there I was able to SBF the phone, root it all over again. I tried to flash the new gingerbread, Liberty AND a theme at the same time and i believe thats why the phone bricked. This time I did each step one at a time and it works perfectly now.

Good day. This is my first time posting anywhere that is not a social network, so pardon if I do not adhere to some rules beyond those of a basic user.

I had the same issue. Half of it at least.

I had Liberty 1.5 then I tried to upgrade to 3.0 i guess my mistake was not noticing that 3.0 requires a different SBF. (was that it?)

That killed my battery as stated bu the user that created this thread.

I replaced the battery and was able to charge it. I am able to get into recovery mode. BUT not STAY in bootloader, (what I mean is that I am able to enter into bootloader, but as soon as I release the Power button, it shuts down.

Please let me know any aditional information that may help you help me

Regards.
