Mounting sd doesn work...Well it didnt. Actually (I cant remember on 5.0.2.8) but on touch it mounts the phone in internet mode. Cheapest easiest way is to go buy a cheap micro sd card, put exit recovery on it and flash it.

Agreed. There is absolutely no reason not to have it.
I think that should be a sticky by itself. But the thread should be re named. I think it confuses people and they don't know what it's for. "Bootloop" recovery or something simple like that

Yes, definitely. Exitrecovert helped me recover my first phone that I thought was bricked.
it can access internal but not the external card. the problem is during the unroot process after the SU files were deleted i made the mistake of factory restoring the device form privacy settings instead of using CWM. now all my phone does is boot into CWM when i try to turn it on. i tried to install the zip files onto my external card so i could fix the problem but when i tried to access the zip files on the external card after putting it back into the phone i get a message in CWM that is telling me the external card cant mount.
i just want to know if there is any way to fix my phone before i resort to just destroying it and paying the $100 to get a new one.
this would help but every time my phone is on its stuck in CWM recovery. to make matters worse not only am i stuck in CWM recovery i can not access my external sd card so i can not use a recovery file or flash a new rom or kernal. i seem to be stuck in CWM and just want to know if i am SOL with this phone and should just get a new one.

every time i try to do something like install zip from external or anything in CWM recovery that involves the external card all it says is the same message (can't mount SD card) i tried formatting the sd card but i get the same message.

get a card reader, that should have been purchase before tampering with the phone, and format it in the pc and put exitrecovery on it and flash it in cwm recovery. BUT if you wipe everything in cwm recovery you will need to flash a rom, so you might as well put a rom on the sd card also or you will reboot to recovery again because there is no OS on the phone itself.
i have reformatted the card and i still can not mount the card i have tried multiple cards and reformatted all of them its a phone problem i believe.
fat32 the only other option is ntfs. is there a specific way it needs to be formatted. i have tried everything i can think of.

Have you tried www.androidcommander.com?
Commander can see a phone that is in boot loop from which you can manually edit the files on the phone. I use it all the time when I get in a boot loop from testing out a theme.

What are you using to format it with? I always used MiniTool Partition
looks as though its not recognizing my phone when i connect it.
i just used windows to format the sd cards. it is supposed to be fat32 right ?

You tried own ac first and then turning on the phone and hitting refresh on ac?
yeah should it recognize it in CWM recovery ?

No. Only when it is booting up. Usually right past the lg logo animation.
Did you try to downgrade like Gbiggie said? LGNPST should recognize your phone even if it's turned off and you can get the MEID/IMEI # by taking the battery out and looking at the sticker on the back of the phone.
