Root bricked evo 4g

Phone was off. I pushed the start button and the volume UP at the same time. (don't ask) I felt about three vibration strings, then nothing. The phone is black with no response to anything. help please

I should add that I rooted with unrevoked 3 wks ago and all was well. I have not flashed anything new.

Just so you know, and for anyone else who may stumble across this thread, you power on while holding volume down, not up to get to hboot.
 
Pressing volume up and power will put the phone in a diagnostic mode. I'm sure it's document out there somewhere how to use it properly. As you found out, pulling the battery will take it out of the mode.
 
lmao same thing happened to me, and i freaked out, but then just decided to take off battery out of curiosity and it was back on =p
