Root Bricked triumph, receiving one in 3-5days

The lady told me that I was going to receive a triumph without a battery and sd card. Would the new triumph using my old battery and sd card for my bricked triumph, still be bricked or no? Thanks.
 
Your current phone probably isn't bricked. That term gets thrown around a lot without it being true. There are a lot of things you can do to fix your phone, what issue were you having?

Also, the new phone won't have any issues from the battery or SD card unless whatever issue you had was related to that.
 
I deleted the image folder in the downloader mode (power + volume - ) and was about to put a stock image folder, but my cousin disconnected my usb cable before i was able to extract all of it. My phone wont turn on anymore (in bootloader mode, in download mode or just regular power up).
Sometimes it just vibrates and never stops, but the screen remains black.
 
Well, I know some people had issues with download mode not showing the scrolling text. Does it ever vibrate then stop? Have you tried seeing if it connects to the computer even if the text doesn't show?

I apologize for doubting you, it might be possible that you have the first bricked Triumph I have heard of! I would still see if you might be able to get it working, especially if it was fine otherwise.
 
when it vibrates it never stops, unless i do a battery pull. My computer does not read it as well. Should i request a new sd card and battery as well?

P.S. I appreciate that youre doubting me, so i can learn more myself. I'm pretty newby at this stuff anyway. So thanks for replying. ^^

your battery works, and the sd card works, you dont need new ones.

your phone might actually have some serious damage (first ive seen with what you described.) but the battery is clearly good, and the sd card is really unlikely to have problems.

none of the files you touched were on the sd card so it will be perfectly fine to put in the new triumph. its all just removable storage anyways, nothing important ever goes on it. only cache data and any files you put there yourself.
 
Try putting it in download mode (even if it keeps vibrating) and connecting it via usb to your computer. If you use a PC click on My Computer and see what drives are there, is there a MOBILE drive? It may not pop up when connecting, but might actually mount?

There were a couple folks with similar issues, maybe if they see this they can chime in. If what I said doesn't work, I am out of ideas for the day.

p.s. I think your battery and SD card will be fine in the new phone if you can't get this one going.
 
alright I actually was able to load the MOBILE drive on my pc, even though nothing is showing on the screen on my phone? Should I put a stock image folder in the drive?
 
which would be the correct image folder? The one I've downloaded keeps giving me an error when I try to put it in the MOBILE drive.
 
In the MOBILE drive you should have an image folder. Delete whatever is in yours and put in the new stuff. Don't put the files directly into the MOBILE drive.
 
If you don't have any folder there, you should make sure it is totally deleted. Then add the new image folder and files.

edit: you might need to format that MOBILE drive is possible. Not sure about that.
 
Alright so I got the phone to vibrate normally. But theres just a back lit black screen. Not sure what to do now. Would formatting the MOBILE drive help this?
 
Got the motorola triumph logo to come out and that's about as far as it'll go. By the way, how do i rep/thank your account agent?

Well, that means we're making progress! It should be able to boot if you have the image folder files all correct. Were you able to fit them all this time?

yeah i was able to put all the image files, but it still won't get past the Motorola screen. I can get in bootloader mode 3e and downloader mode though
 
What do you mean by bootloader mode 3e and download mode?

edit: just making sure we are using the same terms. :)
 
This bootload mode is a strange one, nothing pops out unleses i press the home button and the back button is the select key. It says 3e
 
yeah the options are:
reboot system now (tried this)
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset (tried this)
wipe cache partition (tried this)
download nb0 from sdcard
 
Yeah, that is the stock recovery. You could go into the mobile drive and put in a CWM recovery and then flash a ROM and see if that works.
