Root Bricked??

I had lost a 3G signal from VM in the past month or so, only very slow 1G even when 4 bar signal was indicated. So I flashed back to the original ROM at it indicated a 3G signal with about a 50% increase in speed but still slow.

I decided to go back to CM7 and added the recovery image CWM 2.0.2.6 to the mobile file, deleting the old recovery image. So far so good.

When I tried to boot into CWM the phone would not stop vibrating with nothing on the screen. The same thing happens when I turn on the phone or try to boot into the download mode.

If I connect the phone via USB I can read and add to the mobile folder.

Does anyone have tips to recover this brick?

You have the wrong CWM recovery version... try 5.0

No it's not bricked plug it back into your PC the mobile drive should open back up & replace the recovery image & reboot should be all good. Done the same on accident.

Thanks Agent 13, it did not work the first time, but the third time it did. It booted up into "Hello Virgin Mobile". I was happy to hear that.

Thanks to all who responded!

Cool. You can change recovery abd all that again and get it all how you like! Yay!

The funny thing is that after being bricked fora while, when I got back into CM7 Epic Blue, I have a 3G signal for the first time in over a month.
