Bricked!

Udbhav

Newbie
I was trying to install a custom ROM on my Android Tablet DOMO Slate n9SE.
I was able to install CWM recovery easily.
But, when i went to the Install update from zip option -
There were 2 Options -
1. Install update from sdcard <Error E: Can't mount /sdcard>
2 Install update from internal sdcard <Error : No files found>

Then I manually copied the ROM files into the system folder and now the device doesn't boot after the boot logo. :P

Help Please!

what rom was it? was it made for your device? roms are device specific.

and you can't install a rom that way.

did you make a nandroid backup with cwm? can you get to recovery?

if not then try and see if you can get cwm back. if you can't then you might have bricked your device.

Try to get into recovery, CWM and go to backup and restore, choose restore. Hopefully you can get into recovery. Then, after that, read untill your eyes bleed, make sure you know how to flash roms.

Yeah... don't do that. You learned your lesson.

If you made a backup follow the instructions others have given you and restore it. If not you better hope you can find a stock image for your device or you're screwed. And that's if recovery even works.

When I choose zip from Sd card it says E: Cant mount /scared and when I select choose zip from internal SD card it says No files found. What to do?

Did you make a backup with CWM before changing the system? Probably not if it can't see the storage device, but we need to know whether it's worth persuing that line.

You should never make any changes to system without making a recovery backup (nandroid) first.

If you've no backup the options are to get a ROM for your device installed (if we can get CWM seeing the sd card) or reflash your device with stock firmware (if we can find it and the flashing tools for that device). With a major brand device I'd be confident we can do the latter, but don't know what support there is for this one.

Is it even the correct version of clockwork? I've had a look around and I can't find a version of clockwork which looks compatible with your device. Do you have a link to the image you downloaded?

1st : I didn't backup the device (I don't have a backup file) {Hadron}

2nd : I know 1 guy who successfully flashed the Rom using the CWM recovery which i am using. {El President}

CWM i'm using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1702299
