Root Bricked?

I have been looking through the threads and have found several hopeful options but none have worked so far. For some reason after root while trying to make a backup in Philz touch recovery my device has decided to not boot. It shows the LG icon but will not go any further through the boot process. I can still get into recovery but it will not load SDext or allow me to access any files on my SD card through free browse.

No. It says, "E: Can't mount /sdcard." Or "E: Can't mount /external_sd."

I noticed the PhilZ Touch 6 recovery I have offers sideload as an option on the main menu. Might that be of help to recover?

Dont use the free browse feature, just go to install zip and choose sdcard or external sdcard.

If I click install from internal or install from ext I get the messages I noted above. Does it mean I corrupted my recovery somehow and need to use a secondary program to recover via usb/windows?

Have you tried a different sdcard? If anything is corrupt its probably that.

My SD card works fine in my computer and Prevail 2 but I will give it a go. By chance are there other options to recover the device to factory?

,I really am looking for a sideload or something that doesn't require me to register to a SITE THAT NEVER LOADS!! lol, any chance you know of a solution?

it is something in rec, which at install zip---install zip from sideload
then you will find the adb device
go cmd adb
adb sideload XXX.zip
xxx.zip mean the zip which at the same folder with adb files

poor English ,hope you can understand it

Unfortunately I had this same problem in the past where my recovery couldn't read any of the Internal or External storages, the only way I was able to fix it was using the un-brick methods which wipe everything on the phone.
