so i'm running gse2 on zvd and my phone works fine but there are a few bugs. any time i reboot the phone, it goes into the brief bootloop . when I put in the extended battery, it stays on bootloop until its plugged in. can this be the fact that im running gse2 on zvd or a battery issue because sometimes it will do the same with the standard battery. any help will be appreciated.

Every ROM I tested on ZVD did this from which I made threads about. There is no "fix". The only "fix" is NOT put ZVC ROMs on the ZVD update. There is a whole thread dedicated to what you should NOT do with ZVD.

So therefore your bootloop is NOT going to go away because the ROM isn't supposed to be on there in the first place. Either go back to stock and wait for an OFFICIAL Rom or downgrade back to ZVC/ZVB.

And the "bugs" aren't on ZVD. The "bugs" are from the ROM you weren't supposed to put on there.

I would suggest doing some research before putting an unofficial update on your phone because luckily you still have a working phone. Next time you might be making a trip to the metro store. Just sayin.

I had the same problem but with GSE 2 on ZVC. To make long story short, I have one of the first esteems that came with ZVB, rooted as soon I got it, installed first Plague kernel, BlitzKrieg kernel, GS, GSE, second and third Plagues and other ROMs. After long time decided to upgrade to ZVC and installed GSE 2 and the phone started doing exactly what alexr777 described: phone got in bootloop randomly after a manual reboot (at the beginning thought was the extended battery but sometimes did it with the stock battery) Back to stock ZVC and the bootloop stopped, flashed GSE2 again, bootloop after some manual reboots started again. Three days later ZVD came out then decided to upgrade, rooted again and the bootloop after manual reboot disappeared. Now I’m running ZVD deodexed without any glitch for more than a week. ;)

mrpnut told me to flash it over to LD-LG ZVD Alpha2 from GSE2 but it's still giving me the same problem. It stops only when I put it on the charger and if I'm lucky it won't need the charger.

Honestly that's the ONLY problem I had with all of the ROMS. SOOOOO with that being said if you want to deal with that then I would say take your chances and leave it until an official one comes out.

I for one didn't want to take that chance because once you flash a ZVC ROM you lose everything that was on ZVD. Meaning whatever they did to ZVD will be lost because you are flashing over it with the "insides" of a ZVC ROM. So basically it's pointless. Make sense?

If I were you, I'd go back to however you had it before and wait for an official release. But that's me

i wanna revert back to completely stock, unrooted and straight out of the box..but idk how to do that
