Brightness of web browser

realized

Newbie
I love how high the brightness of the screen gets, however even with the browser brightness all the way up, its not nearly as bright as the menu/home screen/etc

Mine appears to be the same

when i open by browser, it feels darker.. when i press the menu buttton , the entire screen gets bright again...

(the same menu to modify browser brightness)

then i went to check that auto brightness was all the way up and not to AUTO..

go back to the browser, and dim's a tiny bit..

hit that menu button again, gets bright.

i noticed that right out of the box the screen didn't look near as bright as my ogs2. but once i brightened up the screen a bit everything looks just as beautiful as i remembered! :)

This is one reason i leaned over to the vivid. Side by side, while the contrast of the Sammy and its deep colors is unmatched, the vivid offered much purer whites, almost making the sammys whites look gray.

All in all, if the resolution was better i would have had the sammy. Side by side the sammy screen looks considerably larger than the Vivid.

Your's may operate differently from mine... seems to be an issue where every phone does SOMETHING different for every user... but mine... if the screen isn't down to at least 50% the whites are pounding my eyeballs... and whites are very white according to my Spyder3Pro screen adjustment hardware.
