Help Broke My Incredible

I uninstalled my running live wallpaper. That was a mistake... I got an force error on settings.

So I powered down and rebooted.

Now I'm stuck in the hboot screen.

Fastboot is highlighted and I can't change to any other options.

If I press the optical button text flashes by fast then back to the hboot screen...

It's hard to read what it's saying but something like: 'pb311img.zip no image'

At this point I'd do a full wipe if I could.

What options do I have now?

I'll let a pro come in but I believe you can download the file you mention above (PB31IMG.zip) and put it on the root of your SD card and it will unzip that and return your phone back to stock...

Let one of the pros help you out but you can start with a search on that.
 
You sure you can't access recovery? The PB31IMG thing is normal in hboot. Wait for it to clear, use volume key to highlight recovery, then select by pressing POWER button. Did you do a Nandroid backup? If so restore at this point. Remember that when in clockwork, the trackpad button selects an item as opposed to the power button when in hboot.

The fastboot is highlighted and the volume key does not move it.

The power button does not do anything either when I'm in that screen.

The joystick attempts to load the zip. Which fails since I assume the zip is not on the card.

Very strange and from what I've read not how that screen is supposed to work.

I was about to say I don't mind if the phone is wiped because I only have about 10 contacts but I just remember I have about 50 color notes saved that would be a pain to lose. Not sure I have a choice at this point.

Can I have my wife stick the zip file on her card and stick it in mine for booting?
 
I originally posted in the main forum. The post was moved. I had assumed it was moved to the troubleshooting forum but now I see it was not.

In any case as an update... took it into a corp store. The tech thought the volume rocker was broken which was why I couldn't move the cursor to select restore or factory reset.

They're sending me out a new one since it was under a year old which surprised me.
